          Works well
I finally gave in and bought a blower after getting a 2 foot dump. Works well and easy to start. It does have a smaller motor and won’t throw snow very far though, so this wouldn’t be ideal if you need to throw it high on tall snow banks.

            Storm 2420
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Troy-Bilt, the name speaks for itself! I haven’t had to move much snow since it arrived, but looking the machine over, it is a sturdy little monster. It arrived very quickly, assembled in 15 minutes , and started on the second pull. I expect many, many year of service from this unit. The only negative I have to say is, I wish it had a light.

No snow yet so I will review assembly. Not hard...
No snow yet so I will review assembly. Not hard at all once you break down the cardboard/wood crate you can roll it out. Bolted up the handle and followed the directions which I downloaded from TroyBilt website. Most important-check to see if it has oil remember new oil will be clean on the dipstick so get a flashlight to check it-add if needed. My buddy made me promise to add fuel stabilizer before I add gas. I ordered Stabil from HD. Also, I got a backup speed cable because many reviewers said their’s snapped. I bought this because my plow guy didn’t raise plow which chewed my old asphalt drive. As a result I am doing it myself! But because of rubble I extended both skids so I don’t ruin the new snowblower. I am a 72 yo woman this will be my first time and I can’t wait for SNOW!!! I love my red TroyBilt and will update when I plow. Assembly is a breeze (my first time using socket wrench!!!

            Plenty of power
Easy to assemble. Got it two days before a 3 foot blizzard in Buffalo, NY. Got through it pretty well, and I'm happy with the purchase. But, it would be nice if it had a light on it, and the lowest speed should be slower.

Doesnt scape good - Auger locks ON
If someone has walked on the snow it just rides right over it, theres no weight in the front to scape it No "off". You have to remove the key to shutoff and with no hole in it for a lanyard its easy to drop and loose when clearing the chute Putting in Reverse 1 is VERY hard, R2 forget it. I HATE that the Auger lever locks on automaticaly. If passing a window you cant keep moving and just release the auger. You have to stop. Release the auger. Move forward again, then reengage it.

Don't buy, gear cable broke in 15 minutes
Like many other reviews on here I purchased this assembled in store and brought home to use immediately. Within two passes on my small driveway the gear cable (forward/reverse) broke (nut on the end sheared right off). It seems they used only the cheapest materials in all the parts of this $1,000 snow blower.

                    Gets the job done
purchased this snow blower right before a large storm. I don't have a big driveway to clear so I decided this unit should be adequate. this unit doesn't have all the bells and whistles but if your looking for a basic blower to get the job done at a fair price this will do. the storm dropped 16in of snow and thankfully I didn't have to shovel. being a smaller unit, yes it dosnt just plow through that deep of snow like nothing, but it didn't let me down and I cleared the driveway. even part of the driveway is rocks. it had no problem throwing rocks through it even tho I tried as much as possible not to.

Broken speed control cable on 1st use.
24" 208 CC 1st use on 1/29/2021 for the snow storm that hit Long Island...12-15" of powdery snow in my area. 10 min and the speed (fwd/reverse) control cable broke. This snow blower was $699 3 months ago now its $899...for what?...cheap parts?

Had an Arians that cost double the price and this Beast outperformed in 2 Feet average plus 3 ft Snow drifts. Operate with half a brain and Follow the maintenance requirements; this Machine will treat you right. Very impressed with the strength of this quality, affordable, Made in USA machine.
