The airless tires are not much better than their pneumatic brethren, they are just fancy run flats.

I saw videos of Storm 2860 and grabbed one. Sold my Storm 2410 to my neighbor and he is thrilled it's in great condition. Thx to Troy Bilt.those machines with hard tire are ideal.

The only negative was trying to get traction on a layer of ice below the snow. It would be nice if I could add additional weight to the wheels to help with traction on icy pavement.

I used the snowblower for about 3 minutes and it would no longer go into reverse. I had to do my entire driveway without going backwards. I called customer service and I was told to adjust the drive control cable which was done but that didn't solve the problem. My repairman had to adjust the shift rod cable as well. Both R1 and R2 are working now but it is very difficult to shift into reverse. There is a lot of resistance. Once I manage to do that then it will work. If it weren't for this issue I would be thrilled with my new snowblower. Right now I am not.

I picked it up at my local Home Depot and they assembled and loaded it in my truck. I’ve used it 3 times so far it works great. Haven’t used the electric start but it starts after 1 or 2 pulls every time. I wish you could adjust the height of the handles but otherwise a great machine.

I have a ten degree driveway and my old machine would pull me right with it, the new machine, if I hang on to it will spin it's wheels. And will spin it's wheels trying to remove snow from the plow. I would like to know if regular tires are available or chains. I took Consumer Reports recommendation but I think the Cub Cadet would have been better (same money).

Chute kept getting clogged. Ended up doing driveway by hand. Both neighbors snow blowers were able to handle this snow/ice. Troy-Bilt dissappointing.
