ConcordTy = Muddy Rear Yard .... what to use for an Aerator & Broadcast Spreader??? a) = Perpetually MUDDY, from a Spring "OR" a low area, perhaps? b) - Any 'Aerator' will NOT work especially well because MUD will quickly cause it o "foul' or 'plug-up / NOT empty those pieces of earth from the "fingers" as it should. c) - Grass doesn't fair very well in areas of perpetually-wet earth .... need to consider re-grading the Slope of your Back Yard, to drain-off the excess water. d) - "IF" none-of-these are remotely possible, THEN, you should consider a Tractor-Mower with "Diff-Lock" / 'Traction-control' / 'Posi-tract' Transaxle - a.k.a. - Transmission, to maintain traction to BOTH rear tires ... Otherwise, the Mower will become "STUCK" same as your Truck did.

POSTSCRIPT To / For: 'theduck' = Don't actually need the Mower Part = Other Attachments? a) - In addition to the TOP-of-the-Line-Pair, "MTD" Corp features another superior, excellent, Very-Heavy-duty Tractor-Mower (with H.D. Deck included BUT, less costly than Top Two w/o!) for 2021. b) - Exceptional H.D. Transaxle / Transmision ['K62']- from Tuff-Torq with "Diff-Lock" =( a.k.a = positracion)= for never spinning of (1) Rear Tire in Mud while the opposite sits, w/ ZERO Power, etc.. c) - Multitude of PREMIUM Features for 2021, including 'AGM' Battery, better & bigger Tires, Wheels & Seating, Rugged Front Bumper, Arm Rests, so on.... Just bought one of these tractors how hard is it to hook up the snow thrower attachment

Asked by Mcgoo February 9, 2021

Answer

McGoo = ? Just bought - - Hooking-up Snow Thrower Attach? a) - FIRSTLY .... since the 'Titles' in English are so similar, I have found the actual MODEL #'s to be better Identification: I.E. = 13APA9BT066 - 13APA1BN066 for 2021 Units. b) - FROM the TROYBILT Web Site -[02/09 date-of-inquiery]- there seems to be a difference in the Engines? - - Your Question states a "679cc" whereas their Web Site features a 725cc by KOHLER? c) - Additionally - - There is a Dramatic difference in "which" Transaxle (a.k.a. = Transmission) is featured, as well as, 'Electric P.T.O.' verses Manual Lever Engagement?.....might your be a 2020? d) - Please be aware that "IF" your Unit has only the '200' by Tuff-Torq Corp., No Such Attachment(s) should be attempted whatsoever! ... there IS an I.D. Tag fastened upon the Outer Case of the Transaxle - - - a Tuff-Torq "K46" is the minimum Unit for such Extremely Heavy Duty TASK as Snow Removal. e) - Be that as it may / may not - - - One simply needs to Remove that Mowing Deck ( No Wrenches Required for that plus Do Not 'Jack up' the Tractor-Mower!) & Install Snow Thrower Attachment as a very straightforward Project. f) - Also mandatory are set of Chains & Rear Weight Set.

AK = ? 'Battery Issues' addressed ? ... sorry for long delay, but, initial 'REPLY' was rejected by Censors! AK = ? "Battery Issues" ? ... Solved Now ? a) - Many "Inexperienced" Owners have not become "informed" as to the appropriate Storage necessary between Last Mowing of Summer & initial Mowing of Next Season! d) - I.E. = One simply can NOT store the Mower in the Yard Building as of the last usage for the Summer and expect ANY 'battery unit' to be good OR useable next April-May, when left unattended ALL of that Interval. f) - One should ALWAYS remove the Battery, clean it's outside with a simple solution of common Baking soda / water & an old Toothbrush! .... then, "IF" of that design, check / refill appropriately each of the individual cells for distilled water. g) - FINALLY, connect permanently to a new, small, solid-state, "BATTERY MAINTAINER" -(NOT a conventional, CHARGER!)- until it is time for the initial mowing of Next Year! h) - The excellent "SUPER BRONCO XP" TROYBILT UNIT which you asked about will NOT exhibit any 'battery' issue whenever YOU follow these steps, in my experiences.

Can this tractor pull a small disc, and a drag?

Asked by John November 1, 2020

Answer

John = Tow a small 'Drag' or 'Disc?"} - NEVER!! a) - These only feature a modest '200' Transaxle by Tuff-Torq, NOT designed or intended for Earth Engaging Tasks! b) - For those 'Earth Engaging' Duties, One should explore / seek the Sister Division Cub Cadet's offering, which IS designed and intended for such Extremely-heavy-duty Work: Cub Cadet XT2 - 54 D FAB ... Item # 14D7A6CA010

Is the mower assemby easy to take off?

Asked by John October 31, 2020

Answer

{Duplicated Questions for Cub Cadet LT 46" ???}.... John = { Does Mower Deck come ' off' easily?} a) - MTD Corp - across their entire 'Cub Cadet' and 'Troy-bilt' Line-up of Riding Mowers has about THE very easiest means of suspending the Decks under any of their Residential Tractors. b) - Almost possible-to-accomplish w / o ANY TOOLS, in fact. c) Zero 'jacking-up' of Tractor Unit whatsoever! ...simply leave it on the concrete drive, disconnect 'V' Belt, two 'PINS' at the rear and the front 'BAR' will slide-out-of those groves or notches..... Then, pull / slide the entire mowing deck out-from-under the Tractor.

Can this mower move a 4' X 6' utility trailer short distance around a 1 acre lawn?

Asked by George September 26, 2020

Answers

Will it do it? Yes. If your yard is flat and the trailer is empty. Should you do it? The manufacturers usually recommend towing capacity of half the tractors weight minus the weight of operator, so they are not designed to tow much. Most lawn tractors should be considered a lawnmower you can ride on, not really designed for more than that. If you decide to use it to tow i would recommend always running at full throttleto help keep transmission cool.

Does the hitch come as standard installed equipment? or is it an additional purchase item?

Asked by Shopping August 4, 2020

Answers

Shopping = { 'HITCH' available as Standard?} a) - There IS a Hole which has been 'punched' into the LIP of the sheet metal at the rear. b) - THAT accepts and is designed for a 'standard' Hitch Pin with a "D" Handle, which IS available herein at HOMEDEPOT Stores, as well as stocked at many other Hardware Stores.

My old mower was a Troy built I had for 18 years so I wanted to go with the same brand. The old mower still runs good, just wanted a bigger and newer mower. The mow in reverse is a great feature! The only thing I'd like to make the mower better would be to have an improved deck hight lever and better tread on the tires. But so far it's been a good mower.

It was Home Depot's management of assembling and delivering my tractor that was the problem; not the Troy-Bilt tractor. Honestly, at this point, I can only evaluate Home Depot's actions because, after two tractors delivered to me, BOTH WERE NOT FUNCTIONAL ENOUGH TO PERFORM THEIR JOB; the first one had electrical problems which I think were caused during assembly; the second one I could never even start because THEY DIDN'T SEND A KEY or choke assembly with the mower. See my Facebook post on how Home Depot even uses weak arguments to "Reject" my evaluation!!! https://www.facebook.com/drift.wingover/posts/124979536338912
