I just bought the same mower. I needed a part that was missing and called Troybilt directly. My conversation led to the fuel and was instructed to run this through it when I finish the season to get the ethanol treated gas out of the lines so they don't gum up. I use 89 octane from the gas station for regular use. BTW, love this mower.
