AnswersIt's up to you. In a pristine house it could last 3 months. In my house, 10 days. Hahaha! Dirt and pets affect longevity.

The price was right and the product effective and the free shipping much appreciated. I must comment on the packaging however. The product is 20 x 20 x 3/4. The box was 24 x 24 x 18 and full of 6 cubic feet of craft paper.

These filters are a little too large and I had a hard time squezzing them in. Price is good. This filter size is hard to find in stores . I will have to wait to see how they hold up . They are pretty cheaply made but you get what you pay for.

Bought these after I heard whistling from my intake vents. Turns out my pleated filter was chocking off the air supply after just one month in place. These may be see through, but my furnace blower is much quieter now. At this price you could replace them twice a month if you are the type that inspects your mechanical room often.

These are the only filters I buy for my rent houses. I change them every month. If you don't think they catch a lot of dust, look at my picture. That particular filter was in a ceiling return in a 9' ceiling. My HVAC contractor recommends them. The returns on most HVAC units are undersized to use the pleated filters, causing the unit to work too hard to get the air it needs.
