Can this tubing be used in a coffeemaker?
Will this tubing (1/2-in. OD) work with standard PVC 1/2-in. fittings for a DIY project?
Probably not. Different kinds of pipes and tubes are measured in different ways. Some are measured by OUTSIDE diameter. Some are measured by INSIDE diameter. Some don't match either measurement, but are named for historical reasons. It's a mess.
Can this be used with natural gas and propane gas?
No. Look at the specifications here. PVC tubing is not listed for gas.
Can this be used for draining engine oil?
Yes. Manual bilge pumps have these.
How do I extend existing vinyl tubing with this? I need to add about 10 feet to the end of an existing line? Is there some sort of connector?

I can answer the part about low temperature clarity. I cut a short section of this tubing shaped it in a curve and filled it with water. I put it outside this morning when it was 8°F. I checked it over an hour later when the temp was up to 10°F. The water in it was frozen solid and there was no discernible change in clarity. Your water level might be easier to spot at a distance if you put a tiny colored plastic bead in the tube, but your gauge will be perfectly usable without it.
Is the Max Pressure rating (45 psi) given for the Max Temperature (150 F) or for some much lower temperature?
Lower temperature
I don't know for sure at what temp the pressure rating was made, but here's my experience: I have been using this tubing at 0.5 MPA (72.5 psi) at a fluid temp of about 40deg F and have had no issues. There were some leaks at some barb connections, but I tightened the clamps down and have had no leaks since. I may upgrade to braided tubing at some point, but for now this tubing is working.
can I use this with gasoline?
Yes, this can be used with gasoline.
