This factory-milled board is primed and painted to mimic the natural texture and patina of aged and weathered barn wood. The appeal of reclaimed wood and rustic wood makes this perfect for projects around the house. Each new board is machined and pre-finished on one side to give a distressed appearance and to highlight the woods rough sawn texture. Due to the natural characteristics of wood, some cupping and warp may occur. These products are not recommended for outdoor applications. If used for exterior applications, wood protector sealant is required. Color will vary from board to board and lot to lot due to natural characteristics of wood. It is recommended you purchase your entire job, plus a minimum of 10% overage to ensure most consistent color.

Material did have some sap on a few boards that affected the look. With a little extra care I was able to remove most of it or install in an inconspicuous location.

Far too unfinished. The picture lies. The back is unfinished. The boards were warped - both lengthwise and widthwise! Found it hard to make a mirror frame because of the warping and uneveness on the back surface - could not use any joint other than a butt joint (corner miter, dowels, loose tenon were all risky to try because alignment would be difficult). The actual thickness is less than 3/4 inch. (10/16 to 11/16) - so, planing the back surface would have taken off at least 1/8th of an inch making it even harder.
The only pro is that the overall look is decent.
I wouldn't recommend this product for picture or mirror frames. Your mileage may vary for other uses.

Very poor craftmanship. The wood color is viewable on several parts of the boards (the paint does not cover it well at all). It looks like very cheap gray paint, it has a very matte/solid look to it. When they say the wood is rough, it is ROUGH! Not worth the money, we returned.

The look is what I was going for. However, the quality of wood is basic at best. Just rough pine boards. This is not premium wood. Just a poorly primed/stained piece of very rough pine. Do yourself a favor and buy nicer 1x6s for cheaper and some white wash stain.

The product did not look at all like the pictures. The boards were split in spots and they are not usable for the bathroom floor trim that we ordered them for. The paint on them looked like someone took a spray can of paint and barely covered the boards. Could have done much better buying new boards and painting them ourselves. We will be returning them. Very disappointed.
