The burn was just as the picture. Made a outstanding contrast the blue stain pine I used for the barn door.

These UFP-Edge 1 in. x 4 in. x 8 ft. Smoke White Charred Wood Pine Trim Boards looked like they would complement the 1 x 6 Coastal Teal project boards we plan to use to make a headboard for our king-sized bed. We have a large master bedroom, but we have never had a good headboard for the bed and we could always use more storage spaces in the bedroom. We want to use these smoke white charred wood 1 x 4's as trim and for side doors on the storage areas behind the headboard. We received six cartons each containing two 8-foot 1 x 4 white trim boards. The boards are 3-1/2 inches wide. so 12 boards would cover an area 42 inches wide by 8 feet high. If we only use them for the doors on the sides of the headboard storage niche, we could make the niche about 20 inches deep from the wall to the back of the headboard. Alternatively, we could use these to build a pair of more conventional integrated night stands on both sides of the headboard. The boards are nicely finished in off-white stain on three sides, the backs of the boards are unfinished bare wood with some of the stain spilling over in places. The boards are pretty clean and straight with only some slight twisting and warping. The ends of the trim boards are generally pretty good but can get banged up a little in shipping. If you're going to cut them down like I plan to, that shouldn't matter too much. I plan to seal and finish the boards with Varithane Crystal Clear Gloss Water-Based Interior Polyurethane. When it's finished, I will try to post some photos of how it turned out.

Well, I was excited to take this for a spin on a few walls in our home but it stopped there. The boards are 1 x 4 x 8’s and they are a mix of good and lesser quality material with knots. The finish is very much like a slight charred finish and not this vibrant color. I am sure a whole wall of this stuff might look fantastic but the price may hinder expansive wall covering with it. Instead, I am going to built some rustic frames for my daughters bulletin board and such and maybe a picture frame.

The finish is very much like a pickle finish that is a bit dated feeling like the late 80’s/90’s feel. I am sure a whole wall of this stuff might look fantastic but the price may hinder expansive wall covering with it. Instead, I am going to built some rustic frames for my daughters bulletin board and such and maybe a picture frame.

A pack consists of two boards, each 11/16" x 3-1/2" x 8'. Some of the boards appear to have been "carefully selected", while some others are inferior quality. I have used the shiplap 1 x 6 from this company and found it to be very good quality. Therefore, I am disappointed with this item. Since the ends are partially covered within the package, it is difficult to select the best two-pack.

I bought these to make a faux beam in our house. After sifting through 10+ boxes in the store to find the straightest beams, I got home, unwrapped them, and the glue from the package stuck to the beam. Getting the glue off altered the charred look. I ended up sanding some of the stain off, and restaining the board. After doing this, they really pop. The factory stain did penetrate really deep, which was great. If you buy these, and are willing to put in a little work, they look great, but don't buy them thinking you can just slap them up as-is.

Used this wood to make an accent wall. It came out beautiful. Make sure you order more than you need by about 20 %. You will end up scrapping some boards. Some came with cupping and will not lay flat. Also make sure you have a fine wood fitting blade to keep the cuts clean.
