These boards are amazing! Great quality material. Straight, no warping, no cracks. This changed our dining room from boring, and looking like a cheap, generic apartment type room, to a gorgeous, cozy dining room in my house. The beauty must be seen in person, pictures do not even do this justice. I love it so much. The quality and ease of putting it up was wonderful. We cut the lengths, varying, with the ends nailed into the various studs, which created a nice random staggered look, so it looks natural. Look up videos if you do not know how to do this, but it is very simple once you mark the studs and get started. I highly recommend this product to change the ambiance and upgrade any room. This is the best option for a beautiful shiplap wall.

We built a hot tub room about 30 years ago, and sided the outside with treated plywood. The plywood is all shot now, warping and curling up. I got a chance to try out this UFP-Edge 1 in. x 6 in. x 8 ft. Natural Pine Tongue and Groove Thermally Modified Barn Wood Cladding Board and I am impressed! The tongue and grooves fit tight, and the wood has lots of figure and character. I'll probably need to order some more, and won't hesitate to do so. Thanks UFP-Edge, and Home Depot!

It came out perfect. My house gained so much for little cost

Working with tongue & groove boards is enjoyable especially when the intent is to convert a blank wall into one that attracts attention. The product is offered in several finishes. We selected the one called Glacier which is white. On the unfinished side, the boards appear to be normal pine but the specifications state that the boards are thermally modified barn wood cladding which will extend the useful life of the boards. I am attaching the boards horizontally to wood studs that are all 16 inches on center. I am attaching the boards directly to the studs using a brad nailer with results that the brads are practically invisible. While the progress is still pretty close to the floor, the wall is already looking great.

These boards are perfect for an accent wall or to use as vertical or horizontal wainscoting. They are straight and have a heavy tongue and well formed groove. They go together with just a light tap to make sure of positive engagement. The grain is deep and attractive. I guess it will be up to each person to finish or not finish them after installing. I am going to leave them natural. Great quality!

Described as a Thermally Modified Wood, this building product is stunningly attractive, and it has endless possibilities in both home improvement projects and new construction. It is available in kits of 6 boards, all 8 feet long exactly, and you have seven color themes to choose from. These kits are carefully selected to match closely, quality control inspected and packed with great care. This is Tongue and Groove material, which is time tested to produce a very strong and rigid finished assembly. I have had little prior experience with Tongue and Groove, but in undertaking this job, I have learned that life is easier if you cut a tapping block to gently work each piece into the groove of the one before it, and always nail or screw a board tightly down only after you have seated the following board in the groove. Every board in the six kits I am working with were all Grade A Quality, with the finished side bearing a simply beautiful pattern that varies just enough from board to board to give your finished project with a lot of character. The color control and consistent quality is excellent not only in each shipping case, but from one case to the next. The board dimensions were all exactly the same, there were no “shorts, and I found that there was no need to match one board to the one next to it. So waste was not an issue at all. This is what I would describe as a very tame wood product, thanks to excellent engineering and the heat treating process that tempers the wood. Every inch of every board is useable. It cuts and drills without splintering, leaving a clean cut surface that needs little if any sanding unless you are dealing with what will be an exposed edge you want to present well. Fasteners are your choice, as screws and nails both work well. In cutting this material, it is best to use a finish blade, not a rough-cut, and use a patient steady feed speed for perfect results. This material can be drilled or bored with Forstner Bits for even better results even to larger diameters, for example when providing for things like wire feeds and , Doorbell insets. The same excellent tool tolerance of this material holds true when it is necessary to notch a board around a railing or other feature slated to remain undisturbed to precisely fit in a board. These cuts come out clean and in need of little if any sanding to wear and weather well. I have attached photos of my work in progress. which is to create an exceptionally nice wall extending 22 feet under a weather protected front porch roof with a main entry door and picture window. I could not be more pleased with the developing beauty of it as it progresses.

The material is not inexpensive so was expecting better quality; variation in color ok but some boards almost no grey but WORST was that the tongues and especially the groves, varied in size and depth, some grooves tapering to almost nothing. Had to run boards through table saw to use. TIME WASTED

Used as a build out wall for TV and electric fireplace. Looks fantastic!

1/3 of the 6 boxes purchased contained warped planks, and several others didn’t have a complete groove machined out, boards were also broke. Glad I accounted for a heavy waste factor in order to compete product.

Let's start off with the good. This Tongue and Groove Barn-style Wood Cladding Board from UFP-Edge looks GREAT. It comes in many colors to give you the exact type of aesthetic you're looking for. I went with the "glacier pine" white color, which looks super nice. It has a weathered appearance that really sells the "barn" look. The wood itself is of good quality. There were a few questionable boards, but all-in-all, the boards were straight with no major defects or bends. Now the bad. Installation of this product was a NIGHTMARE. Granted, i chose the most complex installation possible: the porch ceiling. This product is definitely better suited for walls. None the less, i wanted to get a really nice weathered look that would give the porch more of a rustic feel. My main complaint is that the grooves are TOO TIGHT. If this was a wall installation, you'd have the help of gravity while installing. On the ceiling, i had to pound the daylights out of the boards horizontally to get one to fit into the next. Despite using wood blocks to spread out the force, it still caused damage to the tongue/grooves. This then made the next board just as difficult to mate. The slightest bend in the board (naturally, as it was upside-down!) made this even more difficult. And finally, because i did it myself, i didn't have anyone else's help. SUMMARY: A good product that looks absolutely stellar. Unfortunately, installation was unnecessarily difficult due to the tightness of the grooves. Better suited for walls, and with an addition set of hands for installation assistance.
