UFP-Edge Timeless Nickel Gap Shiplap brings a classic yet enduring style together with modern appeal. Timeless shiplap wall boards feature clean lines and a beautiful finish, and they are a perfect touch for interior walls and ceiling projects. Each shiplap board features a 1/8-inch nickel gap edge and a smooth sanded face that is primed and finished with a topcoat of PPG-brand paint. The board’s nickel gap edge lets you install each board quickly while maintaining a consistent gap. Each board is made from finger-jointed, clear (knot-free) Radiata Pine, which keeps it straight and resistant to warp.

    Yes, you will probably have to even though they are "finished". A light sanding, proper prep and sealing will give you a durable finish. If you plan to paint anyways, get the unfinished boards instead.

    Use nails on the small lips that will be hidden. Also use adhesive. Combination of both should have no issues.

    I just took piece of it to the paint department and they color matched it. The problem was the sheen was a bit off, so if you want to use it to repair the many chipping the paint on the boards you better hope they are small chips or are in boards that can be used in an inconspicuous place.

    Do you have a Behr paint recommendation to match the white shiplap?

    Paid for a factory finish. Now I still have to paint as the boards had paint splotches on them or were an entirely different color. Horrible quality control. Be sure to buy 25% more instead of the normal 10% to make up for poor quality.

    I was glad to find this product because it fit our needs. It was real wood instead of MDF. It had a smooth finish instead of a rough rustic one. It was already painted a very similar color to the one I had planned to paint it. I thought great that will save time and materials. Over all I am satisfied with the purchase, however, there are a few little things I could have been happier with. The painted finish is a little inconsistent, there are some rougher sections and you can see where the pieces are boards that are fused together. I debated sanding the rough spots and painting it all again, but decided I was probably the only one who would be looking that closely at it, so I left it. Also, I had to order an additional box when I ran a few boards short, the entire board width is 6” that includes the part you lap, so really it only covers about 5” so you want to note that in your math. I probably should have thought of that, but I didn’t, so don’t be like me.

    They did come with some boards that were not perfect but I ended up painting them navy anyway. They have a little sheen to them that I was not crazy about so 1 coat of navy paint went on great. They worked great for my pantry project and even better to have them delivered!

    Bought this product thinking that I would save time not having to paint. However some of the planks came broken or damaged so I needed to order more to finish my project. Workmanship is very poor and it amazed me they would package broken pieces.

    Product is pretty easy to install. Some boards aren’t perfectly straight but I expected that. Unfortunately I see a big color variation with one of my boxes. So be aware this could happen. Overall good product and easy to work with but disappointed in the inconsistency of color.
