A:  As far as the width of the gate opening I made mine 36” which might meet your HOA requirements.   This will account for your hinges and whatever type of clasp you use.  As far as the height of your HOA requirement.   If you are using the 4.84 high panels they install with a height of 5’ approx.  A 54” high gate would look a little funny.  My gate lines up perfectly with my fence panels.

    A:  This gate is the size specified in the title:- 2.75 ft. x 4.8 ft. We just went to the local Home Depot and measured it - and it fit our space perfectly. Can't comment on U.S. Door and Fence never tried to contact them, all our contact was with home Depot who had the gate at a store within 8 miles of us.
