6 Grounded Outlet Tap, Black and Blue

A great way to expand a dual receptacle to a 6 way receptacle. This adaptor plugs into a dual receptacle. Each bank of three outlets are connected to one set of pins on the back that go into a dual receptacle wall socket. Importantly, the two banks are not connected to each other. This is important because it is possible to to have the two receptacles wired to different circuits and they should thus never be bridged. Of course having 6 outlets so close together means that you will probably not be using ‘wall-warts’ (wall power supplies) but you can use the short extension cords that are now available to solve that potential problem. Each outlet has a rotating disk that ensures that the holes are can be covered when not in use. The adaptor is rated for 15 Amps. Solidly built, nice colors. Simple no frills packaging and instructions. Made in China.

Nice outlet adapter for the money. When I first saw the rotating safety covers I thought the outlets rotated but not so. Even so this is a well made little box for a low price. I have tons of these types of things because I put up over 50,000 christmas lights each year. As a result I have a very large assortment of boxes and adapters of every kind imaginable. I've bought them all. And I can say these are a real bargain at under $5 each. They are a little on the small side and the outlets are closer spaced than some so if you have transformers to plug in use 1 ft extension cords or look for something else. One thing that might have made it a little nicer is if it was designed to have a screw through the middle where it could be fastened. But there are times where you want that and times where you do not. So this is for where you do not. And to be honest if your outlet is so loose that this is not secure when plugged in you should probably think seriously about replacing that outlet because worn outlets are a big fire risk. They need replaced periodically. They do not last forever as many seem to expect. Also, this box has 2 sets of prongs on the back which makes it secure into a duplex receptacle better. And not only is it plugged in more securely having more contacts in place is a good thing safety wise. You see a lot of them now going cheap and only putting one set of prongs on the back. That is not the case here and I try to avoid that design and look for this type. For the money you can't go wrong here. The colors are a little on the unusual side but that was meaningless to me as I end up putting most of these in waterproof boxes I built myself.

Nice to Have Fun with the Colored Outlets! I saw these & thought it would be a change from the old Clunky ones I was Using. I opted to get these to replace the regular sized 6 Grounded white outlet. I will use those in the Out Building or my Shop. Ok, so these are colored & the Boy's Bath received this Black & Blue Outlet Tap & the Girls got the Pink & Green One. The outlets can also be turned to lock out unused outlets, a feature that is great for kids.Plugged in nicely & is held in quite well. This is UL Tested & Approved which gives me peace of mind. (Not that I still have one!) Ha! Nice Product & Coloring is Fun & Stylish.

Very convenient! Love the colors! This little Uber outlet tap is very compact and not bulky which I really like. It easily turns 2 outlets into 6 by just plugging it in. I also love that the outlets just twist a little turn to close if they are not in use. Small and compact, it doesn't take up much space and doesn't intrude on valuable space. The colors are awesome. I think these would make great gifts for students and also great stocking stuffers! Very useful for anybody. And what a good value! Be sure to read the instructions that come inside as there are certain types of outlets you should not use them in. I do recommend them.

This product is pretty neat. It turns two outlets into six outlets, three on top and three on bottom. They turn to lock when not in use, good safety feature from kids. It could work with wall warts if you use extension cables. I like the color choice. They are UL listed/approved so you are good there. Overall these are simple and just work, and I do recommend them.

This outlet tap is made out of lightweight black plastic material. The outlets are a bright blue color. The outlet tap fits securely into a standard outlet. There is an adequate amount of space between each outlet, so six standard plugs should fit without any problem. All six outlets can be turned sideways so they are inaccessible, this is a plus for people with babies. .

Thus is a safety outlet that can be closed when not in use, an ideal recommendation for those people with small children or grandchildren. It simply plugs into an existing outlet and all unused outlets can be closed to prevent insertion of something metal by a small child. The only concern I have with this unit is the vibrant colors that may attract a toddlers attention.

Very cool to be on your kitchen counter as ours is. The colors really set this off, and the plugs look like little smily faces! We put this on our kitchen countertop where we plug in all our devices, phones, speakers, laptop, etc... We were daily plugging and unplugging devices to charge things up, no more! It is even a receptacle with a switch next to it for the garbage disposal, plenty of room. The little faces can be turned with your thumb to prevent any accidental contact. Works perfectly!

This is a very nice outlet. I used it to replace one that was too large and bulky and wouldn't stay plugged in because it was so heavy. This one is more compact, weighs less and looks much nicer. Because it plugs into both outlets, there is no problem with it falling out. Also, each individual outlet slot rotates so that it can be used in the vertical or horizontal position. Great outlet!
