I have a rack of six telescopic extension poles hanging on the wall in our pool cage. I use them for everything from maintaining the pool to brushing the cobwebs off the inside of the cage. Unfortunately, most of the extension mechanisms do not work very well. Either they are too easy to unlock (unlocking themselves while brushing the pool), or they require unscrewing a collet to slide in/out the extension. I want something that is quick to release/engage and won't slip.
This extension pole works wonderfully, and is exceptional in that regard. It has the universal coarse thread attachment for paint roller handles, brushes and other household items. It doesn't have the pool tool pin connection. (I wish it did!) We have tall ceilings and this will reach the ceiling no problem (see attached photos) and is easy to flip open the clamp, adjust the length, and reclamp very securely. The pole feels stout and just has the right amount of heft without being heavy or too lightweight. I'm tall and this allows me to scrub the black algae out of my gutters (after spraying liberally with sodium hypochlorite solution--aka Clorox) without having to bend over. It also will allow me to paint the walls without having to get on a step ladder.

These Unger extension poles work great (I own 3 separate ones)! They're very light, and the extension/tightening system is very quick and very secure. I've attached rake heads, squeegees, and scrubbers to these poles, and they all work great! Excellent design! :-)

Attachments "lock" into place, instead of screwing on, which I like; but the lock is not tight, so the attachments still wiggle a lot compared to a screw-on attachment. Pole itself is sturdy and extension "lock" works great.
