Can the perforated metal screen be removed and replaced with an insect screen?
Asked by Shar August 3, 2019The perforated metal screen has holes (perforation) that are too small for bugs to fit through. Furthermore, the metal is stronger than an insect screen so it offers more security. Invaders will not be slicing through this screen and then reaching inside to twist the lock controls. If you prefer a slightly lower cost, Unique offers their MeshTech screen which is also insect-proof and durable.

Can a bug screen be purchased for this door?

Can this be painted?

The perforated metal screen included with this door allows visibility out of the house during the daytime but limits visibility from the outside in. During the nighttime and if the lights are on in the house visibility looking outside is limited while those outside would be able to look inside. I hope this information is helpful.
