how long are the inside mounting brackets for the security window bars

AnswerThank you for your interest in our Inside Mounting Brackets for the Window Guards. The brackets measure 6" in length and 1 1/2" in depth. The 6 inch length inserts into the end of the Window Guard. I hope this information is helpful.

AnswerThank you for your interest in our window guard brackets. The square tubing is 3/16-in. x 3/16-in and it is 6 in. long to fit into our Unique Home Designs Window Guards. They can be partially inserted or inserted the length of the bracket depending on your mount application and the window guard in relation to the size of the window.

Mounting brackets are XLNT !! However it would have been nice if the clerk I ordered the burglar bars from had mentioned that the brackets were NOT included with the bars . Took another separate order and about a 6 day delay before I could mount the security bars :( That was a bummer !!!

Work fine
These fit fine and seemed sturdy enough.
They came with one way screws which require a special tool, or a very large flat tip screwdriver in good condition and a good amount of patience.
Predrilling and use of wax on the threads will make installing the screws with a large screwdriver possible.
If you don't have a proper screwdriver and/or patience, you will damage your screws and likely your wall when your screwdriver fly off into it once after you slip.
If you use these with double window guards and the recommended adapters, your entire construct will rattle and feel wobbly when shaken.
My preference for my own use is to use a full length solid metal square rod in the horizontal tubes and make custom mounts. I would use long heavy duty Torx screws, fill in the torx holes with epoxy, sand and paint to allow for easier, solid, tamper resistant installation.
