Navajo White Security Door Seal Kit

This product did not work with the door as described, there was not enough room under the door to install it and the threshold was only for a 3 1/2" door jamb. Returned it for a refund. I will make my own fix to fill the gap under the door. For the gap at the top of the door I just used a piece of 1/8" x 1" wood and it worked fine.

I used this kit when installing my new security screen door. Worked out great. If the door is already installed, you will either need to cut the legs on the threshold kit or loosen/remove the screen to allow you to slide the legs into the bottom of the door. Not a huge deal. Once the legs are in the bottom of the screen you simply level the bar at the appropriate height and drill a few holes...after that, cut the threshold plate to fit your door jam gap between the security door and house door. This took a bit of effort with tin snips but I was able to get it done. MEASURE TWICE AND CUT ONCE....The cutting/fit of the threshold is paramount to have a nice finished look. Once fitted, drill a few more holes and screw it in place. Mount the sweep onto the bottom of the door, again drill a few holes and screw it together. The top seal is easier than the bottom and has reliefs bent into the seal to clear the screen door mounting screws. The directions were pretty clear, I'm not sure why others had so much trouble. NOTE: This kit will NOT make your door air tight around the edges, but does seal it up fairly well. When I spray for bugs around my property, I spray around the entire perimeter of the door and I never have bugs entering my home. Great kit for the price and helps make the install of a screen door look complete.

I don't have security doors which is what this product was intended for, however, I was installing new storm doors and needed a longer threshold to keep the cold air out. The storm doors I purchased were easy install storm doors from Andersen and they needed to be set on a threshold in order to be installed. My existing thresholds were too short. Before I had a 1/2" gap on the 32" doorway and a 1" gap on the 36" doorway between the storm door and the threshold. I needed to extent them out further in order to accomplish what I needed to to hang the doors I was buying. I cut them to the size I needed and they fit perfectly. I attached them to my existing threshold and installed the Andersen easy install doors and there is no gap at the bottom where cold air can get in. They helped me accomplish what I was trying to do and closed the gaps. These are very sturdy and durable.

This door seal is a must have when you add a security door. Without it you have a wide open space at the bottom of the door where bugs or a snake could enter. Looks just like a part of your threshold and is sturdy. I had it installed at the time my security door was installed. A bit pricey, but worth it.

Expensive and some parts not needed. For example, the threshold plate is not lend itself to installing on cement.

Didn't realize you needed this when you put in a security screen door .

The item was installed last week and fixed the gap issue for the most part, but did not include the screws to attach components (yet stated that it did include all hardware on the package). My handyman was able to figure out alternatives in the moment but it was inconvenient and extended the installation time. The price seems pretty high for what is included, but the item is necessary to fix to the huge gaps left after security door installation. It seems like the right thing to do would be to include these parts with the security door I purchased, which is not the fault of this item's manufacturer.

Fit the door well, and easy to install. Put the finishing touches on the door. BUT the price is bit much.
