Su Casa 72 in. x 80 in. Black Projection Mount Outswing Steel Patio Security Door with No Screen

Overall we are happy with this security door. It looks exactly like the ad ! Looks good from inside and outside. Installation gave a few challenges. We were having trouble getting the lockets to catch properly. We were also concerned about how flexible the lock-side jam was. It was easy to just pull it away by hand so the lock would come out of the hole. SOLUTION !! We drove a 7 inch screw between the two lock sets. THAT held everything very firmly in place where it is needed most,and the plate over the lock-sets hides that screw so nobody can even see it, no less tamper with it. We just painted it Navajo white to match. I think the manufacturer should have had a place for a bolt in that exact place ! Also the deadbolt we installed is keyed on BOTH sides so nobody can reach between the bars and unlock if they don't have the key. On the plus side the spaces between the bars are big enough for my small dogs to go out without having to unlock the security door. I gave it 4 stars because of the flexing lock side jam. Worth 5 stars if you do the simple fix of driving a big screw between the lock sets. BTW I put up two of these on my duplex. Had same problem with both used the same fix!!

I thought it was just me until I saw another review. My hinges are bound up also 2" before it closes. The solution offered to him was return it if its damaged. Since it is installed with one way screws I don't see it getting returned. Other review: "I should have returned this as soon as I noticed the hinges bound up but I thought it wouldn't be a problem. Now that it is installed, the active door has to be forced closed each time. Otherwise it's ok but now I have to re-work the hinges. David"

Overall good quality, but of lighter construction than I expected. All parts were thin-walled square or rectangular tubing. I had to modify the size to fit my application, but that is not the door's fault. It was delivered to the store more quickly than I expected.

Very high Quality gate, fit perfectly and was easy to install. We both feel our home is more secure with this gate
