- Compact shipping: your rug will arrive factory rolled/folded and may have creases from tight packaging and compression during storage, these normally flatten within 3-7 days, you can also reduce or remove creasing by rolling the rug, pattern side up, and massaging the creases with your hands; the backing will loosen to help the rug lay flat, for the stubborn creases, flip the rug over and place a damp towel over the crease; use the synthetic setting, and iron the damp towel; this should remove the crease

Hi Joann. No, we do not recommend putting your rug in a washing machine unless the product details clearly indicate it's machine washable.
Is this more tan or gray?
Hi Tanya. All the colors included in the Sofia Salle Garnier rug in the Beige colorway are Brown and Ivory. Patterns may vary across different rug sizes. Differences in computer monitors can cause rug colors to vary slightly and it is possible the colors may seem lighter or darker in images online or in person. The silhouette image of the products attached, will best show how the rug looks in person for our rugs as it replicates the average lighting.
Anyone use this rug on carpet in a living room? Does it stay in place?
Hello Jmar, You may use the rug on a carpet. However we do recommend purchasing a non-slip pad if the rug is going on a hard surface flooring.
Is this flame retardant?
Hi Tara. Yes, all of our rugs of the polypropylene material are made to be Fire Retardant. Standard polypropylene is within compliance with fire codes as it melts.
