The fastening end of one of the straps tore off almost completely after about 6 uses. It occurred at the line where it attached to the other side of the strap at a seam. It will probably only be good for a couple more uses before tearing apart completely. I will see how the other strap does. I am disappointed this happened. It does work for the application I purchased it for. I am not sure of its' durability.

The Velcro belt & buckle is terrific. I used weed block as a sun screen for a fern bed, and the Velcro belt secured the weed block to posts. It’s very easy to use. The belt has enough leeway that exact measurements weren’t necessary and it holds securely in all weather. Love it!

3 feet is the length of the entire strap. The last 3" (tip) is the hook velcro and the rest is the fuzzy velcro (to which the buckle is attached). Both sections are 1-sided, so if you're trying to wrap something with a diameter smaller than 6", the strap will wrap around itself twice (or more) and the hook velcro will start overlapping the back side of the fuzzy. There's nothing to stick to on that side. This isn't a defect or design flaw, just something to be aware of. This was useless to wrap up a 4" bolt of fabric (its original mission) so I ended up using it to wrap a roll-up sleeping bag instead.
