What’s the raw material for the black frame? Will the color be faded after few years?

AnswerThank you for your inquiry. The material of the outer frame for the shower screen is stainless steel. The finish for our shower screen frames are done at our factory. The color should not faded, VIGO does offer a lifetime warranty for the finish of the product.

Everything as advertised
Installed this myself. Easy installation. Drilled 5 holes and installed. Caulked the around the edges. Took maybe an hour. Looks absolutely beautiful. Couldn’t ask for more.

The only hard part about this was getting the panel up the spiral stairs! Beautiful, solid piece of glass, arrived well packed, assembly was simple and the inclusion of the plastic strips that lie inside the metal track were easy to install and protect the glass. Now we can finish our bathroom project! It's such a simple, classy looking piece and we are glad to have brought it. And by the way, it can be taken up a spiral staircase by two average sized people (in fact, one of us is tiny!)

Simple, straight-forward install
It might appear daunting at first, but with the right tools and an extra pair of hands, it is a simple and straight-forward install. Make sure you measure several times so that you have your mounting holes right, and then follow the instructions on how to fix the glass. Start-to-finish took 2hrs.
