Answer This Question

Hey Chase! VP's 50:1 Small Engine Fuel is Blue.

By|Oct 7, 2021

Can I use the 50:1 fuel mix in my snowblower or lawn mower? Both are 4-stroke engines.

    Answer This Question

If you have a 4-stroke engines, you shouldn't need 50:1 fuel (as it has a gas:oil mixture). I believe VP has 4 stroke fuels.

    By|Dec 31, 2019

You can, but it will probably smoke some. 2-Cycle Oil can act as a good upper lube for 4T lawn motors, although I'm not sure I would ALWAYS use 50:1 in those applications. Just my opinion.

      By|Jun 4, 2019

NO, 50:1 is a fuel / oil mixture only to be used in 2 stroke motors.

        By|Nov 12, 2020

No 4 stroke are separate oil and gas.

          By|May 6, 2020

          No - for 2 stroke engines -

          By|Jun 24, 2021

I thought a 4 cycle engine should not use fuel/oil mix; but this product is advertised for use in small 2 or 4 cycle engines

                    sure its perfect for it

                    By|May 6, 2020

Yes, as long as the weed eater uses 2-stroke 50:1 fuel mix. I use this product on my 10 year old Stihl weed eater.

                    By|Dec 31, 2019

If your weed eater uses 50:1 mix then yes.

                        (2)

If it's a 2 cycle engine then yes. Since it's a weed eater it should be 2 cycle.

This is the oil to gas mix ratio.

50 parts gas to 1 part oil

                            By|May 6, 2020

It means that for every 50 ounces of fuel, you use one ounce of oil.

                              (3)

The ratio of the mixture is 50:1 gas mixed with oil.

If you are looking to use the fuel to store for the winter then just put a small amount in the tank, don't fill it up. This can be used for year round operation, but might get a little pricey. It is your decision.

Fuel tank only. Not the bar oil tank.

If it requires 50:1 mix fuel. I doubt it. A 10 HP motor is almost always 4 cycle separate gas and oil

                                    By|May 6, 2020

Yes - if it has a 2-cycle engine.

It works great in the small carburetors with their tiny jets, even tho you could get super unleaded and add a good stabilizer you get bad gas to start with sp it's worthless to stabilize it,it happened to me I guess no one buys it and it sits in tanks and goes bad so I had enough and just use this no issue except the severly hosing price tag

It's worth the extra money not having to mix my fuel. My blower and trimmer run great using this pre-mix.
