Explain root stock is shipped in a dominant state
Asked by: Babs
Root stock refers to it just the root being shipped to you in a dormant state…it is not potted, nor currently growing for leafed out…just the root itself

Red Rose Mister Lincoln Root Stock is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from I’m new to roses and these aren’t easy My plants are sick. I followed the directions to the letter. I received them and they were pruned down. I went ahead and cut them at a 45 degree angle. One of the plants started to grow right away. The other 7 have been slow. Im watering them at ground level but they all have black spots. Maybe that’s my fault. It rained for two days but I’m struggling to get rid of it and these are suppose to be disease resistant. I bought 8 of these and I’m really hoping I made a good decision in buying them. They are expensive and I’m ok with that because I see it as an investment. I’m hoping for roses this summer but I think the plants needs to continue with root development and main branches. Again, that may be my fault as I bought these late in the fall. Next year will probably be better.

It has been cool and cloudy here since planting so no leaves yet, but Double Delight from Van Zyverden and planted a couple of weeks early, already has a bud. So I am confident once the weather warms up, it will be spectacular.

The Rose's only had two canes on them and the price cost more than if I would have brought in the actual home depot store.
