Varathane 8 oz. Pecan Satin Water-Based Interior Stain and Polyurethane (4-Pack) provides a fast and simple solution to stain and protect wood in just one step. Stain and polyurethane is a time-saver that provides a rich color and polyurethane in one product allowing projects to be finished quickly. Using a high quality synthetic bristle brush, apply in thin coats until uniform coverage is achieved. At least two coats recommended, customize color or achieve a darker color by adding additional coats.

This poly-stain product is amazing. It is such a time saver to not have to apply a coat of poly after you get done staining. It cut the production time considerably. It was very easy to apply and it gave me confidence that I could tackle any staining project. I will ALWAYS use this product in the future.

No use of coasters required! We have never had water rings or stains on our furniture.
And super easy clean up! I can’t say enough good things about this product!

“FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS PEOPLE!!!!!"
This is an amazing product i love it!! If you follow the directions like they say you will be happy with it i used a spung brush after i completly striped the old finish then vacumed the wood put first thin coat on let dry light sanded with 200 foam pad wiped clean with damp rag let dry put second light coat repeated for a total of “4” coats the last coat you do not need the sand you can put more or less coats depending on your desierd color my cabinets came out beautiful be sure you “FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS TO GET THE RIGHT RESULTS YOU WANT” people are complaing about they’re own fault for not using the proper directions it just bothers me to read all of them even the people that were happy still said some negative things do it the way it says to and the product container

color in the can completely different
i got this product to paint a wood drawer for my daughter, and the finished and color is terrible!! i lost my money and time with this product. Now i need to expend more money to try to fix the drawer. was a clean wood without previous color.

That is not what we like to hear, Averonica! With our Varathane Polyurethane and Stain In One, the color may appear lighter and uneven at first. The color and protective finish are built up on the wood as more coats are applied; 3 to 4 coats are usually needed for the best results. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2

This stain is excellent! I love it! I usually use traditional stain and follow with polyurethane. I opted to try this stain as an all in one. Happy I did. Easy to apply, very low odor, and excellent coverage. Not sure about the protective coating factors as the project is just completed. I give it 5 stars this far.

It was very easy to apply and dried quickly to the touch. I just cleaned the surface removing any furniture polish or dust. I waited a couple of hours in between coats just to be safe. I used it on the bed in my guest room, I wanted it to match the wood flooring and espresso decor I purchased. Two coats was just enough to get the look I wanted.

gets dark fast
I like a nice rustic look to the wood. The first coat did show brush strokes i wasnt too concerned bc im using for pantry shelves We decided to do a second coat after that it looked more like paint than stain you couldnt see the wood grain anymore

It’s a great color and sounds like a good idea to do stain and clear coat in one but beware! You must get it super even and no drips anywhere or it comes out really uneven..
