I used this on a cherry/maple blanket chest project, and it worked very well. It brushes on easily and dries fast, as advertised, but most of all looks great. I brushed on 3 coats of the semi-gloss and it was dry and ready to transport in two days. Wonderful product - I'll definitely use it again!

I have never use this product before. Polyurethane in water...
I have never use this product before. Polyurethane in water base, unheard of and I was skeptical about this product.I applied a milky code on my vanity and worried about when the code dried up and the code stays unclear.When I checked the vanity again next day, the code dried up with a beautiful shiny code!It is an "Amazing" product!

This product is designed to solve the complaint about waterborne poly that it dries clear and does not add the warmth of oil-based poly. It achieves the solution by about half. Oil is still warmer. I went to the store looking to buy Varathane Ultimate, but my store did not have it in stock and the sticker for had been removed from the shelves. This formulation has about half the viscosity of Ultimate. It sprays well, and dries to touch in under 15 minutes (@ 80 degrees and 20% humidity). I have not done brush work with it. It requires an extra spray coat or two over Ultimate. I wrote to the Varathane people for a comparison between the two products, but have not heard back. For my application I would still prefer Ultimate, but I would like to try mixing them half and half--get a little color and more density

Easy to put on and to clean up. However it takes several coats to achieve a semi-gloss finish on new wood. First coat disappears almost completely.
