Venta LW25 Original Airwasher Black

I have one of these in my bed room. I used to have a different humidifier, but it was a real pain to use as it did not have water storage and I had to replace wicks too much of the time. This one is great, I just have to refill it with water once a day and it is good to go. Once a year I clean out the scale after it builds up. SO I am not sure what I like more, only having to fill it once a day, or not having to deal with wicks any more. This does a great job as both a humidifier and a dust filter, in my picture I left some dust on top of the unit so you can see how much dust it sucks in, it is like a dust magnet which is great as I would want to have the dust in it and not all over the room.

The Venta LW25G 2 Gal. Single Room Humidifier Plus Air Purifier is an amazing product. I read the reviews on a number of room humidifiers and decided that this would be the one that I would purchase. I have not been disappointed. I have a grand piano and the home heater had the humidity down in the low 20% range during the winter months. This humidifier raised the humidity level to the 41% to 43% range, which is considered ideal, in 3 days. Once attained, I was able to lower the fan speed to maintain the constant range. This unit is quiet on fan settings 1 and 2 and mildly noisy on fan setting 3. I have had it for a month and it absolutely meeting my expectations.

This 2 gal Humidifier / Air cleaner combo removed the dry air and static shock in my living room, as promised. It's easy to operate, fill, clean and move around by its' built in handles. It's a pretty quiet appliance even when running on high speed. Venta recommends using a water additive (1,7 oz was provided). I wipe out the lower housing unit / water reservoir once every 4 - 5 water refills. The upper housing / fan is easy to dissemble to clean once or twice a year. I add 3 cap fulls of Lavender aromatherapy fragrance every evening. You have to turn it on and off yourself. It automatically shuts down if you lift the upper housing or if the water level becomes too low. This unit is LW25. It comes with an excellent operating and maintenance instruction manual.

I was very surprised at how light the unit is and that it takes up little space. It is very easy to fill with tap water. You do need to purchase and use their cleaner in the water to help eliminate formation of calcium deposits and make it easier to clean. Recommended cleaning is every 10-14 days for daily use, which consists of rinsing and wiping it out. One a year the unit can be opened easily to clean all necessary parts. There are 3 speeds of the fan. On the lowest setting it is barely audible (I have this unit in our bedroom); however, the other speeds are a little bit noisy. If it should run out of water the machine automatically shuts off. Nice that it doesn't blow white dust like other humidifiers. So far so good. I have taken off one star because all the settings are not quiet and you must purchase their cleaner -- it gives you no other option to use.

The air washer is made in Germany and seems to be very well made. I have not read any negative reviews about this product! It is made mostly of plastic but feels very durable and sturdy. It does an AMAZING job of cleaning the air while humidifying at the same time. Just the right of amount of humidity that makes you air feel and smell clean and crisp! I was surprised to feel how much the air quality improved with this purifier. There is no white dust created which is great because it doesn't use ions like my other purifiers . This size is great for a bedroom or rooms up to 400 sq ft. It is easy to use, easy to clean, easy to fill. No filters to fool with. It is eco-friendly and removes dust, allergens and pollen. Weighs about 8 lbs. It comes with one dose of Venta air wash additive that is an antibacterial, antifungal liquid that lasts about 2 weeks so order a bottle of it right away. It has a 10 year warranty! I love this machine and the results so much that I have already ordered the larger model, LW45G to put in my living room. This machine is worth the price!!

The Venta humidifier has helped me to sleep better and to wake up with more energy. My house is pretty old, so is has a vent system that seems to encourage dust. Obviously you can put this machine in Amy toom. However, I was having problems with waking up congested. It made me foggy foe the first few hours of the day! I noticed an immediate improvement with the air quality, and this has resulted in better sleeping, better energy, and a better attitude (less cranky! :) ).

This is my second Venta Airwasher. I’ve been using a single room Venta for about 7 years and I needed another. I do not have any allergies and I use this specifically for humidification in the winter. Unlike cool and warm mist humidifiers that blow mist, Venta uses cool evaporation. It’s basically a rotating wheel of discs that evaporates water into the air using a fan. Out of the box, cool evaporation seems to take longer to get humidity levels up in the room, but it definitely works according to my hygrometer. While the Venta provides the typical benefits of a humidifier (less dry skin and static), I cannot attest to the other marketing claims that appear on the packaging and celebrity endorsed literature (It's endorsed by Edward Norton according to the included literature). Do I sleep better with the Venta? Yes! Does it provide me a feeling of overall wellness, reduce foggy headedness, create less pet hair, and reduce cold transmission? Heck if I know! Perhaps we should contact Ed Norton. Anyway, this thing is as quiet as most fan operated humidifiers, and if I run it consistently, it keeps the humidity levels up just as well as my old (and equally expensive) Swiss-made, cool mist humidifier (rest in peace). My favorite things about the Venta are (1) there are no annoying (and disgusting) wick filters; (2) you can clean the unit with diluted white vinegar and water (although you can use the expensive Venta solution); and (3) although recommended, you don’t need to use the water treatment additive which keeps down bacteria, traps dust, and helps the water evaporate (but you’ll need to rinse the unit more frequently). There have been times I got lazy and didn’t wash the unit after 10 days. When the discs gets a little “slimy,” I spray them with bathroom mold and mildew cleaner which cleans them right up. I’m sure the manufacturer doesn’t recommend that, but it has worked for me. My old Venta only had a 2 year warranty, but this new ones comes with a 10 year warranty… Wow! I’ve never had a humidifier last that long! Perhaps the warranty is another reason these are so expensive, but they are worth it in my opinion.

This air washer has no filters!!!! As I have no pets and my house is pretty airtight, I don't have a lot of problems with pollen or pet dander ..... but in the winter it get so dry, just picking up a nylon rug from the wood floor will give a static shock and that is why I opted for this product. With the old humidifier, I had to replace filters during the winter months. As this has no filter and the stack is cleaned every time it rotates in the water of the machine, I should not need to replace. I do need to purchase Air Wash Cleaner as it is recommended to clean the rotating stack every 6 months and before it is stored. The cost of the cleaner is $12+ for 8.8 oz. ..... compared to filters, this is reasonable.

I am a big believer in reading reviews prior to making purchases so I'm very happy to play my part doing my review for Venta AirWasher. There are 2 reasons, well actually 3 reasons why I felt it necessary to search for a way to purify the air I breath. One is I have a house full of animals (3 dogs and a rabbit) that are constantly running in and outdoors Second is I have headaches daily and many test have been done with no certain answers to why, perhaps allergies. Third reason is I'm a little OCD, everything needs to be clean, super clean! Venta has made cleaning the air not only clean but affordable. Venta AirWasher is so incredibly quiet while it's running low that I walk over to make sure it is in fact running. Set up and mantence could not be any easier and affordable. There are no filters that need to be purchased and uses minimum electricity. Assemble and add tap water and let Venta Airwasher do its magic! I leave my Venta running in the center of my home all day long and take it with me to my room at night. I feel as if I made a very smart choice choosing a company that has been doing our community a great favor since 1981.
