can you mount it on a exterior wall and/or vertical?

Asked by: kg
Vertically yes but on the side of a house or building I personally don’t recommend This is not for walls that are straight up and down ther are for roofs with a pitch or flat more for use on a pitch that’s where they work the best Remember that heat rises up and captures at the roof pitch you can email me for more info. Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a relief!! We bought this for our attic in our condominium because our a/c was working too hard. We have central air, but we had to leave it at a very low 65 in order for it to come on enough during the night to keep us cool. Our attic sits above our master bedroom and the hot air would just sit up there and make our bedroom so hot. After installing this ventilator, the relief was almost immediate. Now we can leave our a/c set on 69 at night and it is actually cooler upstairs than downstairs now, and that was never the case. 5 Stars definitely for this product. I wish I could take a picture, but the roof is way to high:) We set the thermostat to 85 degrees, that seems to work best for us. That's the awesome part of it, the ventilator is not always on. The price was unbeatable!!! We had a professional install it for $130.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ventamatic 1400 CFM Roof Power Attic Ventilator Home Depot online had the best price and free shipping to my home. The shipping was very fast and the product was exactly as advertised. I just installed one of the two fans that I ordered this past weekend. Installation was easy and the product performed well. The only slight negative was that one of the machine screws in the cap was stripped out. It made it difficult to remove. No big deal, though. I'd still buy them again.

I replaced 2 US Solar roof fans with 2 of these thermostatically controlled electric fans. Even though I am now using electricity, these fans are only on when the attic temps go above 90 degrees. So they are not using power all the time and this makes it very affordable to use. The main reason for replacing the solar fans is that they don't move a lot of air. These electric fans move so much more air that we can feel the difference down in the living areas. We know we are saving money by not using the A/C as much, also.

I'm in the process of having my garage roof replaced, and wanted to add a power roof vent. This unit was perfect for my needs. It runs very quiet, and it moves a lot of air. This should make a big difference in how hot my garage attic gets, as well as helping the new shingles last longer. Roof shingles get hot enough just from the sun light, but the heat, and it's long term damage, is amplified from a hot attic. I highly recommend this attic roof ventilator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Deal For the money this is a great product, it is not the best on the market but I did not pay a lot for it either. Not sure about some of the reviews for this product complaining of noise. It is a electric fan which will make some noise. When inside you have to concentrate to hear it running ( very quiet ). The reviews complaining about noise may have installed incorrectly.
