Quiet and efficient heater
Four stars instead of five --- the tip-over button switch was improperly installed causing the heater to stay off, even when on a flat and hard surface. My solution was to add three stiff felt bumpers/glides to the bottom with one of the glides over the tip-over button. This, of course, bypasses that safety switch. However, many heaters are without tip-over switches, so this should not be a problem. The controls on top are very nicely designed. With the left knob you choose OFF---LOW-no oscillation---HIGH-no oscillation---LOW with oscillation---HIGH with oscillation. LOW is 900 watts and HIGH is 1500 watts. A thermostat knob on the right lets you choose the final temperature output.

Just the ticket to warm up a area
If you need an area warmed up you will be very happy with the purchase of a Ventamatic portable oscillating ceramic heater. This heater will effectively deliver 900 or 1500 watt of heat in a controlled format. On setting is for fan speed the second is like a thermostat. It does not have temperature indicated by the dial but you don't really need them. Once the area gets to the temp you are comfortable with turn the temp dial down till the unit stops, when the temp drops below that setting it will auto restart and warm the area back up. Adjust up and down as needed, just that easy. Products a nice warm air and for heaters this size I think it is pretty quiet. Get one for your office, living room to knock off the chill or like me and one for you camper.

Works well in a small space.
I got this heater to replace an older ceramic heater that died. I use it in my master bath because there was not a heater in there besides the regular central air heat and it gets cold when taking a shower in the winter. It works very well for that space. It puts out about the same amount of heat as my older one but it is much more quiet. This one also is oscillating where by older did not. I have also used it by my chair in our living room because I sit by a couple of windows and I get cold. There are several settings to choose the level of the fan and the temperature. You don't have to use the oscillating feature if you want the heater to just blow in one direction. The metal parts do get hot so you need to be aware of that. The heater will automatically turn off if it is tipped over.
Powerful little unit.
This is a small little unit that is about 10 1/2 inches tall, about 6 1/2 inch wide and 6 1/2 inch depth. Well made, the plastic doesn't feel cheap. It has the controls on top. One turn knob is for heat and oscillation. The other knob is for heat temperature settings. I did notice an odor when I first used it but it fades and I think it was just the heating coils being used first time. Odor was just slight and will probably disappear with more use. I found that when using, the low and high heat settings made no change in the fan speed. It just increases the heat from the coils. So you have low, high, low & oscillate, high & oscillate settings. When I tried the oscillate feature, it moves relatively slowly and not really a wide span when it oscillate. So don't expect it to oscillate like a typical oscillating fan, this heater moves much slower. I like that the power cord is about 6 ft long and its made for heater units that draw power. I did notice that the cord was only slightly warm to touch at the high or high & oscillate settings. I put a sound meter on it, and it read about 50 db which is the low range end of what is considerate moderate noise level. So I think it can be on while on telecon and not interfere. I think it could be used on table top because of its size or for folks that want to keep their feet warm at the desk. I noticed when I took amp reading that at low it was averaging about 7 amps, and when on high it was around 13 amps. So if are on a 15 amp circuit breaker line, make sure you don't have any other heavy load on it or it will trip your breaker. It does have tip over shut off feature that works and you see on all heaters, plus it will turn off when it reaches the temp setting or if it overheats. Overall its a decent little heater and maintain safety precautions for any sort of heater unit. If you don't recall, the manual is well written english and clearly states all the precautions.

Well made heater
This came well packaged without annoying beadboard cushioning. The thermostat has a lot of marked intervals, which is not really an advantage to me; it's infinitely variable. It's also not a problem. It has two heat settings in both stationary and oscillating modes. Once the thermostat is satisfied, the heater stops, but a light in the front stays lit, so you're reminded that the heater is set to turn on again. There's no option for the heater to continue the fan after the thermostat is satisfied, but other heaters like this also lack that option. I appreciate that capability in an air conditioner, because cycling on and off is likely to awaken me. I cope by setting the heater so it will stay on, sometimes overheating the room as I sleep. However, unlike some of the competition, there is not a fan only option.

This little heater is amazing!
Wow! I've had it for about two weeks now and its been coming in clutch throughout the night. My concern was if it was going to heat up the living room and as long as you keep it on for a bit it works great. No major sounds and has a safety button if the heater falls or flips, it will turn off. I really like that because with kids they tend to play with it from time to time. I wasn't sure if I would like the oscillate feature but it really works well. No complaints here.

Flexible operating heater
The Ventamatic Oscillating Fan-Forced Ceramic Space Heater works perfectly in our 10’x14’ master bath when we want to take a shower and need a quick pre-warming of the room. The two selections for 900W or 1500W regulate whether you want a lower or higher degree of heat, and it is a noticeable difference. Depending on the need, the result is a quick warm up of a small area. Use the lower setting for a more subtle warming. The sensitive thermostat clicks on/off often, not allowing the area’s temperature to fluctuate much at all. The four settings all use the same single speed blower which pushes the air about 5’ out before the breeze diminishes to the feel, though the heat still penetrates somewhat. The oscillation range is roughly a 45* angle which is a minimal amount of dispersion keeping the focus of the heating pretty much directly out in front.

Small, powerful heater
This compact dual-wattage electric heater produces a great deal of heat. I use it in my north facing bathroom with a cold ceramic tile floor. It is easy to use with top mounted dial switch controls for selecting the wattage level (900-watt or 1500-watt), and fixed or oscillating operation. The thermostat turns off the heating element and fan when the desired temperature is reached. The heater does a nice job warming up the bathroom on cold mornings, and the thermostat maintains a comfortable temperature without wasting energy. I am very satisfied with the performance of this product.

The perfect little space heater
I chose the Ventamatic portable space heater for when my Mother visits. She is usually cold, even in the summer. This portable space heater is perfect to make her a little cozier. It has a built in handle and is lightweight and portable. She was able to move it with ease to any space of the house. It heats up instantly and the temperature regulates and is spread evenly by the oscillating fan. I was surprised at how quiet it is. I plan to use it on those cool fall mornings. I feel safer knowing that it has an automatic tip over switch. I didn't find anything that I don't love about it. Mom loves it and so do I. I highly recommend it.

This is a fanstastic little heater. Very impressive.
This is a small heater with a small footprint. However, it heats like one twice it’s size. My observations: • The heat is strong and pushes out forced air that is like an air vent in your vehicle. I was very impressed with the amount of heated air this put out. It warmed up my office (12’X12’) in minutes. • It runs fairly quiet and will not be nuisance from a noise standpoint. The sound level is the same on the low or high setting, but again it’s not loud. • The oscillating function works well and make no additional noise at all when moving. • It’s small and mobile. I also like the handle on the back of it which makes moving it around easy. • The unit produces nice heat in less than 10 seconds. • The thermostat is appreciated and works well when I tested it. • You will get a little a bit of smell when you first use the unit. The smell is completely gone after running it for about a minute. • The housing does not get hot when operating, which is great for safety. • Right out of the box it’s ready to use. Nothing to assemble. I really like this heater. It might be small (which is ideal), and you will be pleasantly surprised how well it produces heat. I recommend.
