Tall and sleek with a rich patina finish -The Veradek Span Planter a versatile option for any space, whether it is needed for a pop of color or some privacy and division in the backyard or patio. Its thick gauge corten steel construction ensures that rust develops on the surface of the planter ensuring the structural integrity of the planter body for years of use. In addition, all corten steel series planters are equipped with styrofoam insulation to help keep plants healthy in both hot and cold extremes. Veradek corten series planters are proudly designed in Canada so you can be confident that your planter will hold up against weather related cracking and splitting. With the ideal balance of design, structure and purpose, the Corten Steel Span Planter will make a tall yet elegant statement in any outdoor space, any season. During the initial rusting phase, rust will drip from the surface of the planter. Veradek recommends placing an appropriate protective barrier between the planter and ground to ensure no stains are left behind.

Hello Neville, Our apologies on the missing instructions. Please visit the OEM webpage for these instructions which are on the [age where they sell that model of planter. Thanks, Joe

Hello, Yes these planters do come with the styrofoam insulation. Thanks, Joe
Mine came with styrofoam insulation (thin) - which I thought was packaging material but it should stay in (I tore mine up before I realized it) to deal with heat/cold.
Hello. For the interior dimensions of the planter please visit our webpage (link below) and check out the specifications sheet. As for the insert shelf these can be removed from the planter. https://veradek.com/collections/corten-steel-planters-series/products/corten-span-planter?variant=43004699377893 Thanks, Joe Lucia
The interior dimensions are similar to the exterior dimensions - there is no liner so it differs only by the width of the steel. There is a rim on the top 1.5". Inside there is styrofoam liner - can't remember how thick. I thought it was packaging but it is not - needed to keep the inside from getting really hot (mine faces east so not too bad) but you can remove it. You can take the tray out so the soil can go all the way to the bottom.
Hello Shauna, If you visit our website in the link below, you can see how to make a simple solutions that will speed up the rusting process. We do also sell trays however we do not make them in corten steel but instead our other metallic colours. https://veradek.com/pages/how-to-rust-corten-steel?_pos=1&_psq=how%20to%20rus&_ss=e&_v=1.0 Thanks, Joe
Kait, Corten steel can leach rust colored water during the initial period during which the patina develops. For this reason, we recommend placing something underneath to prevent any staining that can happen as a result. Once the patina has fully developed, you can remove the barrier and you will be left with a beautifully rusted planter! Thank you
Hello Mari, We do not recommend doing so as the corten steel would develop rust over time.
Hello Mike, Unfortunately we do not have a back to stock date for this planter yet.
