Questions & Answers
The California Redwood is listed both by Veranda & Barrette, both with same fireplace photo... the same product sold through 2 vendors. However, Barrette shows the panel with an edge, and Veranda is edge-less. Which is accurate and which do I order?

We would not recommend installing in this manner. Using plastic ties may limit any thermal expansion and contraction of the lattice and cause cracking and/or warping to occur.
i can not find any info as to how thick the lattice is.1/8, 1/4, or 1 inch???

Can this lattice be positioned either way? Horizontal @ 8 feet wide? Vs 4 feet wide.
Horizontal install refers to the panels being used as a ceiling covering (like over a pergola). You can install the panels vertically using the short side of 4 ft as the top or using the 8ft side.
Rere, Per the installation instructions, do not install lattice in a horizontal application. Without proper support, lattice will be prone to sagging, rippling and heat retention.
How large should do pre-drill hole be to allow for expansion and contraction I will be using your recommended screws for this project
NH, Take a ¼ in. diameter drill bit and drill the hole through the lattice only, then attach the lattice to the supporting structure with a ¼ in. diameter screw. This will avoid splitting the lattice. Notice that I said to predrill the lattice only. One should predrill the vertical post with an 1/8 in. diameter drill bit so that the ¼ in. screw threads have something to grab on to.
I see this available in both framed and unframed versions. For a vertical application (privacy on one side of the deck) is one preferable to the other?
La, The difference is installing the framing. If you feel that it would be too much work- if, for example, you have limited use of your hands, then you could purchase the framed. If you will be hiding the top or bottom edge, then you might not want to pay for the framed edge and can save by purchasing the cap for just the two exposed sides. Other than that, you've chosen the smallest-opening size lattice in this line, so that will be the best for privacy.
