Do not have circular saw... can this be cut by hand with sharp sheers or a hand saw?

Yes. Use a sharp utility knife and start with multiple passes lightly to start the groove. Bend and snap. Use a metal straight edge or level. If that's not an option, use anything like cardboard, snap a line or use a marker to get your line, and go slowly with the utility knife always keeping your hands out of the way. Go easy. As you get to the end, lower the angle of the knife and push down a little bit. Wear glasses in case of blade chips. I have also used shingle shears to cut this as well, or an old pair of large tin snips from the fleamarket. Framing the lattice is the fun part. Especially in a sloped yard. You'll need to buy an angle finder and watch a Youtube video or two on compund angle cuts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for my intended purpose! Put a large panel of the white, vinyl privacy-style lattice on the very end of my front porch for a little more privacy and it looks as good today in 2014 as it did back in 2009! I'm thrilled that it has worked so well and have had zero problems with it! It must, however, be installed just right to stay put and we also added a lovely two-sided frame for it to give it a more finished appearance. The framing pieces were also from HD and went up around the lattice like a picture frame and is held in place by special type of white caulking. We are now going to get another section of this to secure the open end of our garden fence which backs up to our large shed. To keep critters out of the garden, this lattice will be perfect there and will keep the critters from squeezing through the larger openings on the normal-size lattice. So, I guess you see why I'm a huge fan of this stuff! We live in NC and have very hot days and severely cold ones too, so this vinyl larttice was made to last decades.

Veranda 4 x 8 White Vinyl Privacy Diamond Lattice is a well made, high quality lattice panel. It survived being rolled up in my car for the ride home. It was easy to cut with a mini circular saw, jig saw, or multi-purpose snips. I enclosed the panels between some pvc boards so they could expand, and contract without any problems. The pvc boards are screwed into the 4 x 4 post/post sleeves. The panels provide the privacy we wanted without blocking out our view.

It is not the same color (Redwood) we purchased from the store. We don't know if someone stuck the wrong label on the product or what. The manufacturer is the same company, the color name is the same -but it came as a dark brown. More like the Brazilian Walnut. We returned those that came in the wrong color and ordered another batch - hoping this one will match. We have already begun to build and cannot take any of the original sheets of lattice we bought back, as the pieces were cut to fit our needs for this particular project. We need both Home Depot and Veranda to make this right, as we are in this for hundreds of dollars now. During the course of building and remodeling projects, and having spent into the hundreds of thousands of dollars at Home Depot's, it has come to our attention the quality of product and the attention to detail, has waned exponentially over the years, particularly, in the on-line division of this store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from White Vinyl Privacy Lattice We went to purchase at our local Home Depot (checked two stores in Northern NJ). We had purchased in store years ago this same item. . Both stores we checked had the lattice without the finished border listed with the same price and same item number as online but did not have the finished border. After reading the reviews, I called customer service and they confirmed that this item number SHOULD HAVE the border on the lattice. I ordered 7 sheets from Home Depot online which qualified for free shipping to be delivered to my home. They arrived yesterday and did have the finished border. My husband installed them to create a privacy fence and it looks beautiful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would I buy it again yes!! I found the product to work just fine if you know how to actually install it. You have to give it a sort of "frame" to support it. I added it to my porch to make it more private and it allows my small pets a chance to go "outside" in good weather. My porch is large {40x8} and faces full sun so the panels get rather "hot" for lack of a better word we also get quite a bit of snow and freezing temps. in the winter. I found {after we put it on} that you should NOT screw it in tight, my fault, I read it on the product, but it happened. It needs to be placed securly but because it swells it does need the room. I've had this very product on my porch for about ten + years, There is some very small cracking where the screws went in, but like I said, it was really my own darned fault. And BTW, I am a woman, when I bought it I was only 35 with no special skills, I just used common sense installing it!

It's very sturdy and has its own "frame", so there was no need to purchase additional pieces to finish the sides. The size of the openings is fairly small, so it offers quite a bit of shade, which is what I wanted. I've only had it about a month, so I can't comment on its durability, but so far, it looks like it should hold up quite well to the weather.

We bought it to replace white and using it as a fence between our yard and a rental property next door. When we placed it upright and had already installed it, it shows variations of the coloring, it is not solid gray as indicated. It looks like it has faded from being stacked. We have already installed it so it's too late for us, but if you are looking for a uniform gray fence as we were, this one isn't it. If you are wanting the faded old fence look, this is somewhere in between solid gray as we thought it would be and the old fence, time to replace look. We really aren't as happy as we wanted to be, but as stated, the boxes are gone that they came rolled up in, and it was such a hassle to think of returning, we just hope the roses and flowers when they bloom, makes it less noticeable.
