Thank for your inquiry. Yes the panel can be cut down to 6 ft in width. You would remove and/or cut down panels to the width you want and the top and bottom rails accordingly to insure enough to go into the posts. You will also want to put a screw in the top rail inside the post to insure it doesn't slide out.
I received this information direct from the manufacturer rep, who provided it by their engineer. YES you can install it on a slope and it will rack. I have completed my install successfully on sloped ground. Privacy Panel—How to Rack The fence can be installed on a slope. On gentle slopes there may not need to be anything done. On steeper slopes the holes in the posts may need to be made larger. If the holes need to be larger, a large round file will work the best. Remove material from the top of the top hole and the bottom of the bottom hole. Remove material a small amount at a time. A small amount will make a large change in the angle of the rail in the post. At steeper angles the panels will be too long to fit between the rails. Measure the angle between the rail and post. This will be the angle used to trim the panel. Place the first panel in the bottom rail. Mark the corner that hits the rail. This will be the corner that will be trimmed. Mark up the panel ¼ inch from the end. Trim the end at the angle determined earlier. Use a fine tooth blade to cut the product. Note that you are only trimming a little corner off the panel. DO NOT CUT CLEAR ACROSS THE PANEL. That is the wrong direction of the angle. Now cut the opposite corner on the top of the panel. If the first cut on the bottom was on the groove side, the second cut on the top will be on the tongue side. Place the picket in the bottom rail and install the top rail. If the top rail will not fit because the picket is still too long, trim another ¼ inch off each end of the picket. Once the top rail fits you can cut the rest of the pickets to that length. If the slope changes in other sections go back and cut ¼ inch off each end until the picket fits. If you trim off to much the picket may have gaps at the rail. At steep angles the distance across the pickets will be reduced. You will need to cut the width of the last picket to fit between the posts. Use a fine tooth blade to cut the product.
