This was very easy to assemble. If you have to cut the panel shorter (the top and bottom rails) be sure that you also order 1 pack of the rail clips (#73014079) for each end of a section. (The rails are made with tabs to snap into the posts so you'll need the clips if you cut those off.) I also used one of the panels to make a gate. So for that I used the gate kit (#141569). That kit was also very easy to use. I started with the gate assembly and worked my way out instead of making the gate fit the opening. For the gate hinge post I also inserted a pressure treated 4x4 8' long. On the latch side I used the metal stiffener in the #149051 kit. Because of some irrigation pipes and house footer I couldn't put the gate hinge post up against the house so I made my own panel using the fence rails and one panel. The panel to the side of the gate was on a slight slope so it was easy to adjust the rails and panels to fit. Just follow the instructions and you'll do okay.

Next time I buy WOOD.
You have to buy everything A La cart. So, it ends up very expensive. I have over a grand invested in this little bit of fence. It's tricky to assemble. And it's flimsy. I just hope a good wind doesn't blow it all apart.
I do like the privacy though. And once all of the swearing is over, it does LOOK good.

awesome all around product
this is a great product for the do-it-yourselfer. I'm 54 and I installed about 300ft. of the dover Vinyl privacy fence by myself, thats around 40 panels and forty posts. (cost for an only labor estimate from a local fence company install $3900) I am very happy with the results so far, I believe my neighbors are equally as happy. Tips that may help you if your going solo as I did. 1. make sure you use your plum line! don't try to eye ball your posts in a straight line. that didn't work! 2. Dig your holes one at a time, 12" dia,- 8 foot centers, things move much faster when your posts ends up in the center of your post holes. 3. tools, post hole digger, clamps and a hole digging bar, Get the bar or borrow one, well worth the $35, 4. Home Depot doesn't sell end posts, use corner posts for your gate posts, face the opening of the corner posts outward and use the decretive inserts. Don't use line posts for your gate posts! 5. the gate hardware: don't follow the directions! install the hardware approx 3' lower than the instructions say to. getting a bolt into a picket at each corner helps keep the gate square, discovered that one by accident. 6. Don't buy or order this online, Home Depot has contractor prices if your buying in bulk, I saved approx $600 off my purchase by going into the store. they ran it through what the sales associate said was a contractor bid. 7. Have it delivered, best $79 you will spend, the less you have to move bags of concrete the better. 8. let nature harden you cement don't waist your time and energy mixing it.

WE LOVE THIS FENCE!!! BUY IT!!!
We wanted an attractive privacy fence. We shopped. We rode up and down allies looking at other people's fences. Nothing compared to this vinyl fence we'd originally seen at Home Depot. It's now installed and gorgeous! This fencing is elegant, easy to install, and a very good quality.
