I am not the manufacturer but it is white
Any name brand adhesive will bond to melamine board,
Yes, it cuts just like regular wood. Best to use a circular saw. You can also have the store cut it.
Hello. Thank you for your question. The stores only stock a ¾” MDF panel as raw.
Hello. Thank you for your question. Please speak with the experts in your Home Depot hardware department. They should have the blade best suited for cutting melamine, such as a crosscut blade typically designed with 80 to 90 teeth. Your local Home Depot should be able to advise you on the best blade for a circular saw to cut melamine face panel with a particleboard core.
Full size 4' x 8' panel is both heavy (~30+ lbs) and bulky to maneuver. I was able to manage it by myself (32-year-old male) but I will be bringing a friend or asking a Home Depot associate for assistance next time.
The key to how much weight this product can take depends on the amount of brackets (spacing) and weather they are the heavier brackets or the thinner brackets. If you re asking how much weight can be placed on the shelving before it is crushed, I would bet if it is placed on a solid ground such as asphalt, I would probably bet you could drive over it with a car without crushing it. However, driving over it with an 18 Wheeler it would probably crush. Having said this, if you are using it for conventional use such as shelving to hold books or household products I am using it my garage (5 rows,10 foot long) with the vertical brackets mounted 16 inches on center and i am holding about a half ton on the shelving.
Perhaps. I used several sheets in my garage storage cabinets, moisture resistance is good, not sure about heat. The edges are not very stable as the product is MDF, you'd want to cover the edge to prevent it from being raveled or chipped, perhaps seal the edge to prevent moisture absorption; perhaps an aluminum angle set in full bed of sealant. Take care when cutting to prevent edge ravel, masking tape the full length prior to cutting helps.
Hello. Thank you for your question. Please contact your local Home Depot for cutting capabilities.
Yes home depot carried iron on edge banding in white and wood grain, I have used it several times, It is easy to apply with a hot normal iron. If it is too wide it can be trimmed easily with a razor blade, but there is even a special tool to trim the edges. This stuff stays on and looks great.
