They have transition brackets that will allow
Yes, we have this installed in the breezeway of our home as a gate.
Yes you are able to cut pickets to accommodate any height you wish. Be sure to use the lateral metal support inserts for the top and bottom rails to avoid sagging. CBC
Hi BOB, please give our Tech Team a call at 877.279.4496 and they will be happy to help you with a list of items needed and installation. Thanks!
The gate I purchased was 3 feet wide and there are wider widths available. You can install 2 gates side by side with the appropriate hardware
Check the product overview and specifications on the Home Depot website.
The posts I have are vinyl. They can be cut. The bottom rail has the metal insert to provide strength and stability. I would use the bottom post hole and rail as is... since it clicks in place and provides a secure fit. I would cut a hole near the top of the post... so your top of your top rail is 41-42 inches from ground. The pre existing top post hole would be above this. You will have enough post left to cut the top of the post off at the level of the bottom of the pre existing whole. So with some patience, a ruler, a drill and some kind of saw , I think you could do it . Carefully mark where the hole has to go. Use a drill to take out the 4 corners inside your marked space. Use a jig saw with a fine tooth blade or some kind of rotatory saw to cut the straight edges of the hole. A hack saw blade could be used to clean out the corners if needed. The top of the post can be cut squarely with any variety of saws. It can be sanded. Put a cap on it and it will hide any imperfections in your cut.
The thickness of the material for the post is 1/8th of an inch.
Per the manufacturers information: Pickets are 3 in. Space between pickets is 2-7/8 in.
The posts themselves would need additional accessories to attach to a concrete surface. One way would be to drill holes in the concrete where you want the posts so a galvanized pipe could be inserted/cemented in place. The vinyl post would go over top of the pipe. Adapters on the pipe would keep the post firmly in place. The second way to do it is to buy a correct size post adapter kit which is basically a square metal post with a flange on the base which allows you to bolt it into the concrete. Again the vinyl post slides over top of this. This is not something the average do it yourselfer would be able to do well in my opinion
