Rated 5 out of 5 by from SAW BLADE WORKS! I used this band for a Skil band saw I purchased from Home Depot online. It was rated the highest on an online review of most band saws and I needed the blade for cutting metal as the original is for wood. It cuts through Aluminum like BUTTER! Unbelievable how easy it cut. But I tried it on steel and it slowed the unit down to a stop before cutting even an 1/8 inch. Would not recommend for steel. Not sure what type of steel I was cutting but it 1/16th inch thick and it would not cut it easily. I used a hack saw and it went through it like butter. But for wood and aluminum, thumbs up for this blade. I cut some wood and didn't feel like changing the blade and it worked. I highly recommend this band saw blade AND the Skil band saw!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as it was designed to. This is a Bi-Metal blade and it works as designed. I've read other reviews that dog it for not cutting steel but it's not the blades fault. Unless you have a multi-speed metal spacific bandsaw that can run slow enough for cutting steel you will overheat this blade, ruin it and get nowhere fast. With the speed most wood cutting bandsaws run, you can however cut soft metals such as copper, brass and aluminum with this blade. Since I got it I have cut 1/4" billet copper and billet aluminum up to 3/8" thick (so far) without any problems. Just take your time heat is your enemy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for intended use , Aluminum Cut the 1/4 inch aluminum like butter, not for hard metal. Shipping was fast and pleasant and informed by email when available for pickup at store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Aluminum I found a comparable product on Amazon for twice the price, and they wanted 3-4 weeks to ship it. I picked this one up at the local Home Depot. I'm using it to cut Aluminum Bar, Angle, and Sheet, and it works like a champ!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Meets the requirements of my Art Studio needs Vermont American 59-1/2 in. x 3/8 in. x 18 TPI Band Saw Blades are the only blades I have found that precisely cut segments I use in my segmented bowls. The fine cuts also eliminate the need to use a disk sander to square the sides for the butt joint gluing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average Use on my bandsaw. Works ok for soft metals. Not for any harder metals like steel. Does fine with thin sheetmetals though. Don;t get a long life out of it like i had expected but it does fine. Wanders a bit.
