      A:  Typically the 6400-6500K is ideal for most plants especially seedling, clones and most herbs. While red spectrums are used in some cases to help certain plants metabolize phosphates for flowering and fruiting production, this practice is most effective using higher wattage lights. For this particular wattage and light the 6400K is best for most plants. Sincerely, Viagrow

        Good Buy
        The light works well is easy to install and the Timer is Excellent. I have 3 of these fixtures. Just a thought I also have 3 other 4 bulb fixtures from HD that are not as wide and not as water proof but are 40% cheaper the both put out the same light The cheaper one doesn't have the two light on, are all light on like the Copper fixture. This is all I need for my greenhouse but I will change my Garage fixture with the cheaper fixture because I also keep plant in there in the winter..

        I love it and the chickens do too!!
        bought this lamp to start our garden indoors. I also use it to grow grass, clover and chick-weed as a treat for my laying girls...everyone is happy!!
