I really like these toppers for a 5 gallon bucket. You can put grow material in the hole with your plant and fill the bucket with your grow juice and circulate with a fish tank pump and I easily have a simple hydroponic system. The toppers are hard plastic and look like they will last a while. I'm really happy with them and would recommend to all. Thanks!

I am no gardener but I have wanted to get these for ages. These are basically lids you put over a 5 gallon bucket and you put your plant in them, add solution to the 5 gallon bucket and sit back and watch your plant grow. These net pots are plastic and fit perfectly on a 5 gallon bucket. The actual planting area is 6 inches in diameter by 4.5 inches deep with large holes for the roots to grow through. I added lava rock in my pot and just the strawberry plant without any soil. The purpose of this type of gardening is that the plant will feed when it needs to and so a bigger yield quickly. Anyway, I like the pots, they are very practical and make hydroponic gardening easy. Not sure how this is a 12 pack? I only got 6 not unless they come apart which I could not see how to do it. Anyway, the product is good.

Simplest way to grow great tomatoes in the Texas heat! Once summer hits Texas, it's hard to grow good tomatoes due to the heat. Growing them hydroponically works great and these snap-on net pot lids make it very simple! They easily fit a standard 5 or 3 1/2 gallon bucket. Add grow media, your seedlings, some nutrient and an air source and you are set! They are large enough to support big tomato plants. WARNING! - Once you try this, there will be no more going back to in-ground growing!

You know that if you are into hydroponics, you need these net pots. You usually have to source them from a hydroponics store. Kudos to Home Depot for having these available locally! They seem to be of good quality which equates into years of service. They do, indeed, fit a standard five gallon bucket perfectly....and also the 3.5 gallon buckets, too!

Seems like an easy way to grow vegetables inside. We wanted experiment with some hydroponic plants over the winter - herbs and such. These bucket baskets fit standard Home Depot 5 gallon buckets perfectly! It's a nice tight fit that snaps right in place. They claim that the black opaque plastic will keep out light, preventing algae from growing in the water below. Hopefully that part works as advertised.
