I bought two bags. Call your local store and ask for the Garden Center.
No, I would suggest a smaller size such as 3/8in.
Rocks don’t absorb water but they will disperse it. If you can Lay the stones in a manner to divert the water or lay the stones thick enough to cover the normal gathering of the water, the stones will help. All the stones do is displace they water.
Sure can. It is clean gravel, easy to work with. Just make sure it is the color you desire; it will never lighten up, and over time will get a little darker with exposure to the elements (dirt).
This stone is quarter size limestone. It works great for just about anything you would need rock on stones for.
Depends on the size of the pallet. There were 15 on my pallet stacked about 2 feet high.

50 lbs. That’s the gross weight of the bag. The net weight of the stones once dry I cannot say for sure as I have never purchased them and received a dry bag. They have always come “freshly washed” or something. I wouldn’t be comfortable saying why I think they wash them first except of course for the fact that doing so would add to the total gross weight of each fifty pound bag. In all fairness, I have never literally weighed one of the bags on a scale myself. Bottom line each bag is approximately 50 U.S. Standard weight, in pounds.
Lay down the special black screen underlayment first. This will help keep the weeds from growing through.
This stone is quarter size limestone.
