AnswersIt’s marked on the front of the bag. For 100sf at 2” deep you would need 33 bags. So multiply 5x33. That would be 165 bags for 500sf area. But remember when calculating sf to cf it’s only formulated for a perfectly square or rectangle area that is exactly 2” deep. Otherwise you need to calculate by cubic yard.

AnswersLast year (April, 2019) these were a really nice mixture of amber, white and some light pink or red. This year (March, 2020) the photo looks like the color has changes to largely amber, and the price has gone up by like $1.50 per bag. Unfortunately Home depot does a poor job of showing proper color in the photos and maintaining consistency from year to year. I want to add to what I have and that looks like a real problem.

These were the perfect size and color (not at all yellow or gold but a more neutral beige) for the bottom of my cement window wells. I first used these in the summer of 2019 for a very large window well and was glad to see they were still available this year. Window wells are pretty boring but with the white paint and these pebbles, it brightens up the enitre family room in the basement. I saw them in the garden section of the store so I knew the color was different from the shot online.

I had ugly gray and blackish granite chips lining the side of my garage, they always bothered me. I dug them out and replaced them these stones. The River Pebbles are the perfect size and they are absolutely beautiful. Different colors and shapes, smooth and gentle looking. They compliment my garden so well and I now enjoy walking into my front entrance, especially when it's raining and the colors really come out. I plan to buy more in the spring to use at another location.
They are fabulous.
Beautiful Rock, Inconsistent SIzing

We are doing a small pathway/seating area in our front yard and bought 10 bags of this rock (which wasn't nearly enough). We loved the size/look of the rock and went back and got 15 more bags to complete the project. For some reason, on the second trip to Home Depot the bags were half full of pea gravel rock which we were familiar with because we used them in the backyard. Not only does this mess up the look we were going for, but the coverage area is significantly diminished because of half the bag being a smaller rock! Wouldn't recommend unless you can visibly check the bags to ensure the sizing is correct.

Tearing out an old overgrown flower bed and replacing with river pebbles for a clean, fresh look. Pebbles were perfect size to easily cover the area and work around the few plants remaining on each end. Used curbside pickup and they loaded a pallet right in the back of my truck .. no lifting, no touching, saved me a lot of work and got a good quantity discount.

We just dug out a 500 + gallon pond and needed rock to fill it. We used a combination of River Rock and Pebbles. Perfect just what we needed. We still quite a few large rocks and plants to finish it. The Koi love it already.
