Is there ANYTHING other then coco fiber like wax or pesticides ?

AnswersI don't feel or smell anything other than the coco fiber. It looks like they weave and press it together. There are no pesticides listed on the label. It says it is 100% natural Coco. You might check with the company just to make sure. It is a company that has been making planting stuff for a very long time "Vigoro" and I have used their products since the 1950's. You may also want to try the Garden Club at: www.homedepotgardenclub.com as they may have more info.
Can this be cut to fit an 8 inch diameter basket and still function? How?

AnswersI would say it could be cut. It is the stuff we learned in kindergarten. Put the liner in the pot and trim it with a pair of scissors to fit. You may have a few coco "threads" left, but, it should trim. It also bends pretty easily and you may be able to just push it into the pot and fold it to fit. Experiment!

It took awhile for a warm day to get outside to start putting this together in the wire planter I had. I always wanted to try one of these but never got around to purchasing one. So easy to deal with! Threw it in the wire planter, filled it with potting soil, and planted my two new petunia plants in it. I am surprised by how the water doesnt just run thru it and how it keeps the soil moist. The challenge will be when the Texas summer begins! I am hoping it will still keep the soil moist around the plants for a day or two ! So far its a two thumbs up and I may be purchasing more!!

Use these every year as there aren’t too many choices out there for hanging planters. I like the look of the basket with these liners Howe I do find it very frustrating how easily these dry out. Recently I have added a small piece of plastic tho the bottom before I put my potting soil in and that seems to help the soil to stay Moist longer!!!!!!!!!

Fulfils all that I want in a planter liner. The size is perfect for my 12" holder. The coco material is dense enough to support the soil and plants and not allow any loss of soil. Yet it is thin enough to not take too much volume away from soil. I think it will be durable enough to last at least one season if not more. It's early (very) in the season here so I can't truly judge the outside performance. But all seems god so far.

The best part of this liner is that it is bio-degradable! It is winter as I write this, but, in the spring it will be going into our porch hanging basket for flowers. Because it is porous, the water can flow through it and the plants can "breathe" without drowning. At the end of the season, it can be put in the mulch pile or even run through the chipper/shredder and worked into the garden providing extra mulch for the following year. If you are planting something to go into the yard at the end of the year, this acts like a giant peat pot and lets you plant a larger plant directly into the ground without disturbing the roots. It is a nice product.

This Molded Coco Liner is packed in a plastic bag that will keep the liner from drying. It appears to be sufficiently meshed so that it will hold its shape. I like that fact that after the season is over, I can simply discard it onto my bio-recyclable pile for next years garden. I use these every year and they work well to hold the soil while allowing water drainage so that the plant roots do not rot. As you can see in my picture, Its too early to plant in New Jersey but I simply wanted to show its look in the hanging basket.

This coco liner pairs nicely with a wire hanger. It is a good size for smaller plants that grow quickly. It provides room to grow and looks like it will hold up well. Next step is to add the soil and a plant and enjoy
it . I cannot provide comments of how long this will hold up. However, it is recommended to replace every year so I assume I will get at least that long out of it.

Thanks for your comment. The coco liners are handmade and sometimes have variances in the thickness, but there should never be a hole. We are glad that you were able to repair the liner and use it.
