Complete waste of money and time
This stuff is total garbage. I spent several hours putting this in a large flower bed last Spring, then covered it with a couple of inches of bark mulch. These beds are rarely walked on, but within 2 weeks it was completely falling apart. I finally had the time to remove it all this weekend. Now my flower beds are full of tiny bits of black fabric that I will be picking out for years. So not only is it a huge waste of time and money, it has also littered my flower beds.

Blocks about 10% of weeds with a double layer
It seems to only block 0-10% of weeds. I put down 3' x 8' test area of two layers of this Vigoro weed block and wood chips over the weed block.

      Don't waste your money
Horrible product and, of course, once cut can't be returned. With all of the rain we have had lately I haven't even found the right time to pull the weeds. At this point I will just hope they come up when I replace all of the "weed block". Really irritating that I have to move all of the lava rocks and start from scratch. I notice that the manufacturer hasn't replied to all of the other folks in the same boat. Wasted time and money for 3 rolls of this crap.

        Did not block weed
Waste of time and money. I have to redo everything with a thicker barrier.

The fabric is light weight and super easy to roll...
The fabric is light weight and super easy to roll out and cut. I used a box knife to cut the fabric to size and cut around roses I had planted already. So far it’s blocking out the weeds and grass that was growing in my garden.

            Deteriorates way too fast
I laid this down the weekend before my mulch and it deteriorated in a week to where I had to replace it before my mulch was placed. It would tear just by touching it.

              Dont waste your money
I bought 2 3x100’ rolls of this stuff to cover a large area in my even larger back yard. I started lating it down yesterday and used 1-1/2 rolls before i ran out of staples. Because it is such a large area i threw down a thin layer of mulch on top of the film as i went. I would lay a length of film and then cover with a thin layer of mulch. After i completed laying all the film down i planned on placing more mulch. Well I came out this morning, at 9am (last night i placed the film after the heat of the day started cooling down around 5:30pm) and there are lots of nice green weeds or grass shooting through the film this morning! And this happened despite my preparing the area by shoveling out all the grass and weeds and moving it out of the area. And then raking it level and using a weed and grass killer to soak the area before i placed a layer of new soil (for in-ground use). I raked that level again and then placed the film. I knew it would take some time before i finished laying all the film because i was laying the film across the width of the area and not longways. So i laid down a thin layer of mulch over the film as i worked. Because of the grass already sprouting through the film i have to remove the mulch i placed and remove the film i placed and buy a different type of weed control fabric that will actually do its intended job. I wasted over $40 on this garbage. I say garbage because thats where its going. Dont waste your time buying this product. It will not stop anything from growing through it.

                Poor weed barrier
not much of a barrier unless you put multiple layers down I guess. ive have better luck with black trash bags. never using this stuff again.

Not an Effective Weed Barrier for Landscaping Beds
I used this product for a portion of one of my landscape beds because it was the only material Home Depot had left at the time. It is not a fabric. It is an extremely thin plastic. Within weeks weeds were growing right through the material. The product is inexpensive but you get what you pay for. Spend the extra money and get a quality fabric barrier. The pictures I've attached show a weed growing through the "fabric." The pictures also show the bed a year later. You can see where I used this material, its where the weeds are coming up. In the area free of weeds I used a fabric weed barrier.
