Yes, we had some plants growing in one area of the bed we wanted to put this barrier into but just cut out an area in one bed and put strips of the barrier around the plants in another bed. Worked well!

Why is my landscape fabric still holding beads of water? Its been a about 24 hours since I put it down and spayed a little water on it.

The plastic blocks water, so I guess it would sit there until it evaporates. Not sure what you were expecting..

Just mulch. If dirt is put on top of the weed cloth then weeds/grass will be able to grow on top of the weed cloth

I have raised beds with drip irrigation hose. Should the hose be place on top or beneath the fabric?

Either way works since you are watering the soil. The fabric will allow water to go through the fabric to the soil if you place the soaker hose on top of the fabric.

Would this be ok to use under a kids sandbox? Or do i need something else?

You could use this if the children don't try to dig to China, but the sand itself should prevent weeds.

Not an Effective Weed Barrier for Landscaping Beds
I used this product for a portion of one of my landscape beds because it was the only material Home Depot had left at the time. It is not a fabric. It is an extremely thin plastic. Within weeks weeds were growing right through the material. The product is inexpensive but you get what you pay for. Spend the extra money and get a quality fabric barrier. The pictures I've attached show a weed growing through the "fabric." The pictures also show the bed a year later. You can see where I used this material, its where the weeds are coming up. In the area free of weeds I used a fabric weed barrier.

Incredibly ineffective
Laid exactly in accordance with instructions and covered with 2” mulch. A week later weeds are coming through. Nothing like weed blockers I have used in the past. Now I’m going to have to manually remove weeds all summer. Total waste of my time to lay down. Do not buy.

Spent an entire weekend using the stuff. And now the grass is coming right through it and I get to do it all over again. Get your weed block somewhere else.

This is not the spun material I was expecting, nor was it woven. It has the appearance and texture of a black plastic garbage bag that was stamped with a drain pattern. I can't imagine trusting it under crushed stone for years, will have to return.

Yes this product works for my black watermelon grow box, I put it on bricks so my puppies cannot get in it. I have not tried the box directly on the ground. I also want air flowing around the bottom of the box to help with root growth and weed control. One of the few available.

Fuels the Weeds!
This is the poorest quality weed block I have ever purchased. After only 7 days, my flower bed is FULL of weeds. They pop right up straight through the weed block fabric. My photo shows the weeds growing right through it. Do not waste your money!

This product will keep anything from growing underneath it. It's a lot better than the last one I used which was more of a porous product.
