Yes it works great,i used the panel the latch and stakes to make a gate to my backyard to keep the neighbors cats out.

easy add gate
I set up this fence to prevent my free range animals from coming up on the porch but I need access to this part of the yard this was an easy add and works great

Works great as a short fence line
We just recently bought and installed these Vigoro no-dig fence panels, 5 stakes, and 1 gate latch because we're not ready to install major fencing just yet. Afterwards, we plan on fencing in garden areas with these and additional pieces. Since we only needed about 12 feet of fencing to close the gap between our house and our neighbor's chain link fence, four 3-foot panels worked out just about right. We trimmed the grass down really low and installed the fence panels, while adding edgers on both sides to slow the grass growth, plus to make it easier to trim the grass later without damaging the powder coating. This fence is the right size for our dog (medium size) and he doesn't try to push through at all as he has other temporary barriers. For a little added security and stability, we added rebar on one side and zip-tied the other side to the neighbor's fence. So far, we are very pleased with the ease of installation, the price, and the quality. The panels are quite sturdy and well-made. The only flaw I can see is that the rubber caps for the stakes will most likely oxidize and will have to be replaced. Advice: before you pound in the stakes with a mallet and wooden block, remove the rubber cap temporarily or it might tear. We had soft ground from a recent rain, so we were able to push the stakes right in, no problem.

Makes a Great Chicken Run
Went up fast and easy. Surprisingly sturdy. Also real easy to temporarily remove panels to get trucks in and out. Pics of my chicken run attached.

Product was just what I needed to close off options for my cat on the deck. Just banded 3 panels ...
Product was just what I needed to close off options for my cat on the deck. Just banded 3 panels together with Zip ties. Cat cannot go under the railing, through the slats or hopefully over the top. Nice, solid product. Overlapped 2 of the panels to fit dimensions of my deck. Pricing was excellent with Home Depot saving my $7 a panel over other source.

Good temporary fence
I have goats and use this fencing to contain them to certain areas. Easy to set up and relatively solid. They stand up on it and the fence holds.

Perfect for apartment patio
I live in an apartment and do not have a yard, however I do have two patios/porches. These were ridiculously easy to install and helps keep my puppet secure while we enjoy the closest thing to a backyard we have! Considering getting more to expand the space if my property manager allows it!

This fence is steel, powder coated black, with 52” posts that are like long nails with a point at one end and a flat top at the other end, that go through round openings at the edge of each panel, which connects the panels and holds them upright. The posts go easily by hand into the ground 8” deep, or you can use a mallet or block of wood to tap them in, taking care to avoid knocking off the powder coating. The panels must be angled — not in a straight line, to help them stand up, for the 8” of the posts that goes into the ground is not enough to keep the fence upright with a dog or child or big wind pushing it. There are six panels, and seven posts, and each panel is 44” high and 35” wide, probably high enough to keep deer from browsing over them. Each of the rectangular openings in the panels is 4 1/8” wide by 1¾” high, small enough to keep out rabbits, woodchucks, and raccoons from your garden, though not small enough to exclude chipmunks, mice and rats. The fence is heavy, 50 pounds, 12 pounds of which is the posts. The panels can be arranged in an octagonal shape to surround a small garden or a compost pile, or in a rectangular shape 35” x 70”. I’ll use them in a U shape 35” deep and 140” wide to surround our tomato plants on the south side of our garage, with the garage wall being the fourth side of the enclosure. Any panel can serve as a gate that opens and allows entry into the fenced enclosure, and there is a special post for that gate opening, which simply lifts up to allow the panel to be opened. The fence can easily be erected in fifteen minutes, and it can be disassembled in five minutes for winter storage or for moving to another site, including perhaps a campsite. This is a sturdy, practical portable fence.
