Questions & Answers
NEUTRAL COLORS NEEDED: Why hasn't Vigaro made these plastic self watering planter pots in neutral colors like terra-cotta, cream and white?
Can the attached saucer be removed?
Do I need to punch out the tops of the holes inside the bottom of the pot
It's not necessary to punch out the tops of the holes inside the planter. The slots inside the planter will allow the water to drain.
Why is it called self watering?
It has a built-in water reservoir that supplies moisture to the plant as needed. You fill the reservoir periodically, and the planter helps maintain more consistent soil moisture between refills.
How does it water?
Fill it, till you spill it, the water will seep down to the reservoir and from there your plants roots will retain the water.

Anne 7 Qt. Terracotta Polypropylene Planter with Drainage Hole and Attached Saucer (7 in. L x 7 in. W x 6.5 in. H)
This decorative plant pot measures 7 in. L x 7 in. W x 6.5 in. H and holds about 7 quarts of soil. It is molded from polypropylene in a terracotta color with a matte, textured finish that resists scratches, dirt, and fingerprints. A drainage hole in the base and an attached matching saucer catch excess water to help prevent overwatering and root rot. The pot is weather resistant for indoor or outdoor use and arrives ready to plant with no assembly required. The 7 in. square footprint and attached saucer suit herbs or small houseplants on a kitchen windowsill, where the saucer keeps runoff off the sill. Because the polypropylene body is rated for indoor and outdoor use, the same pot can sit on a patio or balcony through the growing season and move inside for winter without repotting. It also works as a ready-to-use gift pot for a new plant owner, since nothing needs to be assembled or drilled.
