AnswerThere is an 8" X 8" square hole in the back panel centered behind cabinet. The back panel is thinner wood like plywood in case you need to trim out more. I did have to cut a U shape out of the shelf in order for plumbing to fit. Shelves are not removable. I even had to drill holes in the bottom as my water lines come through the floor.

Very nice and sturdy vanity. Very heavy. I bought the cabinet only and had local cabinet company make a quartz top with sinks. I did have to cut a U shape out of the middle of the shelf for plumbing to fit but I did not mind doing that. Still plenty of shelf space. Looks very nice.

This vanity cabinet looks great and the quality is outstanding!
This is the perfect 72' vanity! The dark Espresso color is very rich and gives the vanity a furniture like quality. The vanity has tons of storage and the drawers and doors have the soft close feature which is fantastic. Be warned the vanity is heavy however it was delivered directly to my home which was great! I ordered this vanity sight unseen based on the online pictures and couldn't be happier. I purchased a separate double bowl vanity top and it fit perfectly. You will not be disappointed in the quality, construction and stunning looks of this piece. It has truly transformed my bathroom!

Excellent craftsmanship. Every surface is painted. The joinery is tongue and groove. Rock solid . Highly recommended. Cons : There was some white showing between two surfaces .I called customer service and they wanted to ship it back . My solution was to color match (sample size) and touch up with a fine artist brush.
