My unit is supposed to be able to be controlled via Hubaspace It appears connected in the app but will not control the unit. It is in my network so it is connected. The Wi-Fi indicator on the unit does not illuminate. Model #VAP06R1AWTS
Is this unit okay to set on carpet
I returned the unit and the replacement unit works as it should through the app. Unfortunate that the original rep repsonded with an answer for a different model. Reps need to be educated on the product or at pay attention to the questions asked.

I can't get my unit connected via bluetooth. The app does see it and the unit is added to my Hubspace but the Bluetooth on the unit does not light up and I am unable to control with my phone through the app
Actually it does if you knew the product. Swapped it out and not I have one that works correctly as it should.

Does the ac have a hard or soft startup?
I found mine to be a soft start up. I did not notice any large draw other than a flicker if that.
