723DC Energy Smart 12 in. Whole Room Full-Size Air Circulator Fan, Variable Speed Control

I bought this a few months ago through the Vornado website, and this 723DC has proved to be a solid machine and a great choice. The 10-year warranty prove the confidence Vornado has in this graceful and effective work of art. The mid-cord DC power block is somewhat annoying, but I'm sure there are logical engineering reasons for its placement. I LOVE the variable speed adjustment - my fans with three-speed options have always seemed so limiting and less effective. Vornado makes cleaning the fan blades super-easy. My other fans required releasing cheap plastic clips (I was always afraid of breaking them) or time-consuming screw disassembly. There are only THREE sturdy clips holding the front grill on, allowing easy blade access for a quick cleaning. It's just another thing that shows their design being considerate of the consumer. Also, I like how I can position the 723DC upward to circulate and distribute the air through the room however I want. The Vornado energy efficient DC models will be an easy choice next time I need one!

The power connection is dysfunctional and disconnects at the slightest touch.

The fan is powerful, sturdy, and appears well built. Would buy Vornado again

My son started bringing his to CNU for his dorm room air movement three years ago. Due to his reports our Daughter requested we make this second, recent purchase. All we’ve heard is the Vornado’s performance is without equal and there may be other dorm mates’ parental purchases coming your way!

Yes fan is strong but it is too loud. Also lacks oscillation.

This was a gift for my husband. He was skeptical at first about the Vornado 723D fan. Once he started using this fan he decided that it was awesome. Unlike most fans where your limited to control such as low, medium and high this fan has a full spectrum of velocity. The size is compact enough and does not take up much space. Finally, the noise is much less than you would expect from such a powerful fan. We are very happy with this purchase.

I love this fan! I now have 3. I use them in rooms to supplement the home ac system because temperatures in Texas have been over 100 degrees. The fan is quiet when on lower speeds but really circulates the air quite well.

I like having this energy-conserving, variable DC motor design. It's quiet and puts out a good column of air. I deducted 1 star from Design because the power adapter barely makes contact inside the fan. A slight repositioning of the fan and you may lose power. This has already happened multiple times with both 723DC fans that I bought. Maybe a slightly longer plug would solve the problem.

This is just like the one I had 25 years ago and loved! It’s got the variable speed knob. Best feature ever on a fan. Super quiet and still puts out all the air. I can’t stand the 3 set speeds and was so happy they finally brought the variable speed back. Hoping it lasts for as many years as the old ones did. My old ones lasted 20 years with almost daily use! Love Vornado and willing to spend the extra money for quality and better features.
