Can this be used to oil an electric motor that is being used to power a house fan?
Asked by: AvgJoe
Yes you can. Just make sure that you just lightly spray the needed area. Too much excessive spray will cause blow back when the fan is on.

Asked by: KHH
I would not recommend, it will hold on to the paper and you will get even worse paper jams.

I have two large, and heavy vinyl windows that slide horizontally that have become very hard to close. There is no metal track everything is vinyl. Would using this help with the windows sliding more easily?
Asked by: jeepsrock
Yes it will work but keep in mind it will also hold on to airborne dirt.

12 oz. Aerosol Lubricant is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 554.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleaned the hot cooking oil off of my car! My neighbor in the second floor of the apartment next to where I park my car accidentally spilled hot cooking oil all over my car. It was all over the passenger side, the trunk and windows. I had it washed before I figured out what it was, and that didn't remove it. Once I spoke with the neighbor and figured out what it was I tried washing my car with extra strength Dawn. That didn't work. I used a Mr. Clean sponge, which worked, very slowly, but was extremely tedious. Kaboom sort of worked. I had a detailer get a lot of it off, but there were areas he missed. It was almost glue-like, just stuck on like adhesive. Someone suggested WD-40 and it worked instantly! The plastic parts of my car cleaned up easier than the metal, but it hardly took any scrubbing. Just a terrycloth rag and WD-40, and a little scrubbing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My mustang I have a 65 mustang that had been sitting outside from 1995 to present. I got in there and couldn't move anything nor open the hood due to a bit of rust. I sprayed the hood hinges, door handles window handles, ect. And everything is now working. Thank you for making such a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use for corrosion protection I built a trailer hitch to install on the front of my new Ford F150. It comes in handy when launching the boat. The components are mainly steel tubing and to finish them off I weld cover plates on the ends. Saltwater always seems to find somewhere to seep in so to protect the interior of the tubing I drill small holes in each of the cover plates (at the bottom so water can drain out) and then using the Smart Straw WD-40 I spray WD-40 into the inside of the tubing. I built my first hitch like this in 1995 and when I finally traded in that truck this year the hitch was still in great shape. I also use it on my winch, trailer jack and boat trailer springs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice size I have trouble with my hands so this size is perfect for me to handle. I use it on almost everything that isn't edible. I spray the conncetors on the garden hose, makes it very easy to connect and disconnect. I do all my door locks on the house. I use it on my seals around windows and doors on my car during the winter, keeps the doors from freezing and I also spray it on the bottom part of my sheperds hooks, don't know why, but it helps keep the coons from climbing up to the feeders. Great product! Can in the work shed, house and auto because I never want to be without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who knew??? I drove to the woods to walk my dog, and realized that I forgot to spray my leather boots with the waterproof spray, knowing it was going to be a wet walk. I remembered I had a can of WD-40 in the car, as always, and figured I would try that on my boots. It was the 2 way spray can, so I was able to coat my boots, no problem. Who knew that it would do such a great job waterproofing my leather boots?? Even after walking through standing water, my feet were nice and dry. Another reason to always keep a can of WD-40 on hand!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and reliable I started using this product after reading some of your e-mails and am amazed at what I accomplished so far. The first things I sprayed were our garage door rollers which are now moving with ease and less noise. I eliminated coffee rings on our coffee table and then I sprayed all the joints on every pair of scissors in the house. Also fixed some squeaky hinges on some of our doors. Then on to all our garden tools and all I can say is that I am totally impressed with what a little WD-40 can do.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New "smart straw" not so smart. I used to love this product, with the old cans with a straw hooked to the side. This new design is terrible. I bought a can, and after using half it decided to quit spraying. So i bought another can, it did the same thing. I decided to give it one more try, and to no avail, another can quit spraying once it was half used. I'm not the only issue. I have watched friends smash these cans into the ground or throw them across the shop they were so mad due to the same exact thing happening to them multiple times. I now buy the penetrating lubricant on the same shelf for half the price and it works until the can is empty and does just what I need it to do. I have tried returning these cans to the store, I collected all of mine, my friends, and families half empty cans (10+ cans) and put them in a box and took them back to where i purchase them. They told me there was nothing they could do about it. I will never purchase this product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great to use I used this to help loosen the screws in the back of my oven so I could replace my oven element. Screws were rusty and baked. The spray tube nozzle was easy to use and put WD-40 just on screws and not all over back of oven. Made the screws come out very easy. I am a woman and I use this product all the time. Thank you WD-40
