Check your tool to see how many CFMs it takes. My 12.5 planer takes 400 CFMs ,the Wen 3401 has 660 CFM,Just about right, little extra which is good.

CFM’s are GREAT, but you are relying on what the manufacturer tells you! Their are many many ways that a dust collector (actually it’s a blower being used as a “vacuum” unit) can be tested. Being a competitive market, manufacturers will do the test that best fits there needs. Amps/Watts gives you an idea of how much work your equipment can do! An advertised 600 CFM Dust Collector May only give you 500 or less “usable” CFM. For a Table Saw for instance, you will want at least 350 CFM at the port of your saw, so keep your 4” hose as short as possible. For this particular motor, you are getting maybe a little under .9 HP, taking into account the efficiency of that motor! I am bringing this note to the table so as to not rely JUST on the “specified” CFM! Most importantly, do your homework, read everything you can if you are serious about keeping your lungs as well as your shop as clean as possible!!

I suspect that this machine has a smaller motor and impeller than others, but it is less expensive.
