9 Amp Plunge Cut Circular Track Saw with Two 27.5 in. Tracks

How to Get It

Product Overview

Remember when your saw stayed on the right track. Keep your cuts on the straight and narrow with the WEN 9 Amp Plunge Cut Track Saw. The WEN Track Saw provides users the same results as a table or panel saw in a compact and portable package. Simply lay the 55 in. of included no-slip rubber-backed track along the desired surface for a clean and smooth cut. The WEN Track Saw is the perfect companion for ripping plywood, trimming doors, building furniture, and any other application needing long precise cuts. Our powerful 9 Amp motor rotates the 6-1/4 in. blade up to 5500 times per minute, letting you power through even the hardest of woods. Bevel the saw 45° to the left to create angled cuts in boards up to 1-5/8 in. thick. Set the depth gauge anywhere from 0 to 2-5/32 in. to control how deep the saw plunges. The 12 in. x 6-5/8 in. base features slotted grooves for perfectly sliding across the included track. However, it can also exist on its own as a plunge saw, relying on its flat base for maximum stability and precision. The self-retracting riving knife reduces pinching and kickback during operation. The onboard dust port swivels up to 360° to meet the needs of any project. Simply attach your dust collection device of choice and start sawing. This package includes a track saw, two 27.5 in. tracks, a track adapter, and a track saw stabilizer. Backed by a 2-year warranty.

I bought the track saw not wanting to spend 600 dollars or more on other brands that are super expensive and I wanted something that would work out of the box , not something where i had to buy tracks ,batteries etc.. Anyways shipping was great and super fast , The item was delivered undamaged Score1. I took the saw to the track and felt a little resistance , looked under and found small aluminum shavings , took a 400 grit paper and polished the off.. The saw glides like a charm. It will be little bit of learning to hold the lever and the the switch at the same time but hey it is not rocket science. There was no tear out in my cases and as a part was missing i called wen to talk to a great gentleman( Dang i knew his name the day i called )and they are shipping it out pronto. I wrangled with the idea of the accucut and decided that a custom built track and saw with metal base and track with adjustable cams to reduce any play was way better than some plastic with play. In the end the decision was the right one. There is absolutely zero play in between the saw and the track, the blade true and with zero splinters. So far so good, i will keep you posted. I think wen has delivered it again with a track saw in a very affordable price...

This is only the second circular saw I've owned in 25 years. My first one lasted that long and only needed replaced because I cut through the cord. I'm pretty impressed with the technology of this compared to my old one. It's nicely designed and compact. The included track makes it so much easier to make your cuts. There's only two things I don't like about it. One is that it doesn't come with any clamps to secure the track down. They're optional. In my opinion they're a must have accessory so why are they not included? The other thing is- because it's a plunge cut saw you have to push the blade down and hold it to make your cut. It's on a pretty strong spring mechanism which takes some force to hold down the whole time you're cutting. It would be great if you could lock the blade in the down position and use it as a traditional saw. It's rare that I would need to plunge cut anyway. Unless it does do that and I haven't figured out how, but I haven't read anything in the manual that states you can do this. Other than that I do like this saw.

great concept poor reliablility.
Let me start by saying that I love the track saw system and value. Easy use, percision cuts. As much as I love the system the track is useless without a working saw. The saw performed admirably the first 3 uses but on the 4th it was completely dead. I blew out the motor with air which had no effect. I then realized that the saw would only turn on if it was jarred while the trigger was held down. This only worked for another 2 or 3 cuts then the saw stopped working completely. I have had it approximetly 3 weeks. I am very disapointed as this is my first experience with a wen product. I plan on returning it tomorrow and my project has stalled.

This saw is nice if you don't have a lot of room for a table saw. it has a place to hook up a vacuum hose to collect dust. It would have been nice if it came with a carrying bag and clamps for runners. The bag just to keep everything together. The instructions weren't very helpful as far as set up. It is nice because your cut will always be straight to bad you can't lock it down out of plunge mode. Overall it's a nice saw.

I used to dread when my husband said he needed to use the circular saw for a project. The cuts were never as straight or accurate as he hoped and it was definitely a "cut twice" situation to try to straighten things out. The tracks on this circular saw take all of the guesswork out of the process. We were installing a pallet wall and needed to cut the last board to fit in place. My husband came back immediately with the job done (and done well!) The tracks make it easy to cut long, straight lines. Just line up and go! So glad we found this! Perfect for beginners or those who want to get the job quickly and correctly the first time!

Track saws are the way to go. I received this track saw for free to write this review. Track saws are the concept of bringing the lightweight saw to the wood, not the awkward wood to your table saw. Much easier to handle. Great straight cuts. This track saw is priced a lot lower than the competition but still delivers most of what you need. Note that it is difficult to purchase the accessories. Home Depot does not seem to carry the longer track you need to cut 8' plywood. The manual also mentions optional clamps. I can't find those anywhere.

This saw comes with two 27.5" tracks, adapter to join both tracks and the saw. Before using the saw one thing i didn't like was that i would need to purchase more tracks if i wanted to rip 4 x 8 sheet goods. I have a table saw so the only advantage of a track saw for me is breaking down big sheets. The tracks went together easily and cutting the rubber strip on the trucks went smoothly. Another thing i didnt like was the up and down movement when plunging the blade. I wish it was more smooth. The angle adjustment was very smooth and easy to adjust. This saw will be good for rough cutting stuff but I'm not sure how accurate it would be for making furniture panels.
